Gotcha, I do remember because the girl has long blonde hair like my daughter. Mostly I remember cause of the little girl playing with the lockers, looking inside each one!

Oh yah, and my guy said they they were not striking...

But gotta know, they forgot us on Sunday (or they had to do a cell extraction) and the visit was allowed to go on for 45 min extra! What a bonus!

Ok, I had on a light blue t-shirt with a flower-print patterened skirt and white wedge heels on.

You are SO lucky the white prisoners do not seem to be striking. The Hispanic prisoners are though and I got a letter saying a guy that noramlly weights well over 200 pounds is now under 170 and falling fast which is probably accurate since he was scarry skinny at the visit and said they will not be backing down any time soon.I really pray this hunger strike ends soon! They just took away all their commisary food items too :-(

I wonder why that is, since the previous strike 'everybody' was striking and it didn't matter the shade of the skin?? I just don't get it...

That is dramatic weight loss for such the amount of time they have been striking. I am guessing that is because their bodies have not bounced back like they should have from the previous strike. And I don't see what taking away the commisary items does except piss them off anyway.

Good thing I don't run the California prisons!

They are punishing them for being "disruptive" and not staying on program. The GP inmates that strike are going to shu and will lose their "good time" and they are trying to really make them wish they had never started this.I know I wish they would just start eating again

Sorry to hear he is in shu.
My man will do his whole time in shu (six years) unless things change, because they have validated him as a gang associate.
They say they review every six years but that usually does not result in any change of housing and is why the men who did the two hunger strikes risked their lives to attempt to effect some change so shu terms were behavior based and not "administrative".
They are allowed $55.oo max. spending money per month but at least in my guys case also 55% of whatever he gets goes straight to restitution and $5.oo to medical.
They took their commisray food items from them during the last hunger strike.
It read they were striking again then when I visited,he said they were not (at least for now).
I am sure he will be thrilled to get a visit since for the most part, they spend 24-7 in a tiny cell except brief exercise in a "run" and a shower a few times a week. They go everywhere cuffed, shackled and with more than one guard. They will un-shackle before walking him to the window room for his visit and then un-cuff him once he is inside.
You will visit through "glass" and have a "phone".
P.M. me if you have more questions.
Enjoy your visit

If you have any metal clips then you can't get in since the metal detector picks up even a little metal.
I don't have extensions but would guess if they are glue-on type then you should be fine since it is a window vist anyway.
I would ask when you call to book your visit, just to be on the safe side.
I worote more about what Corcoran looks for in other Corcoran threads.
Have a nice visit and welcome to Corcoran

It does take about two weeks since when you book you visit appointment, you can't visit that weekend but the following one.
I am happy for you to have him close to home, that is a huge blessing.
If it is your first time,I would probably call on Wed. but be prepared to be on the phone a while. They can take forever to answer.

It is not set in stone so I hope for something positive from CDC before then.
I also am worried and really stressing since my man went from well over 200 pounds to under 165 over the last two hunger strikes and his health was affected.I don't want them to have to suffer through yet another round of prolonged fasting
If you visit, you will find out fairly fast if he is participating.
