The latest update:

Speakers will be as posted in schedule. We don't anticipate on there being any changes made at this point.

Friday night meet up is at the Holiday Inn, Galleria.
We can meet in The Winery Bar on the premises, we are making arrangements with the hotel to ensure that you will receive a warm welcome.
The bar is open until 11pm and food is served until 10pm.

We decided to keep the Friday night meet at the hotel, as some people may not be getting into town until late.

However those of us who wish to go out later in the evening will probably make some arrangements on the hoof!

Saturday night social event: I am still in the process of finalising the details but we are hoping to spend the best part of the night in a bar/restaurant close to the Galleria.
We are looking for somewhere we can eat, drink and make merry. We would like somewhere that has a lively atmosphere. maybe live music? Once we can get all of this sorted out we will let you know!

Sunday brunch I am still working on this, as it may be that we can all get together at the hotel. However, I have not finished checking this out, and don't know exact numbers, so will be getting more details for you all soon.

Live Video Feed: We have now found a service that we think has all the facilities we need. We are currently in the process of setting up our account and making the necessary adjustments.
We will publish the relevant links to this as soon as we are satisfied that we are using this particular service.

Conference Merchandise: This is really going well, and people have already started to take delivery of their goods. All positive feed back so far!!

Discounts for accomodation: Waiting (again) for the Holiday Inn to give me the details of this offer that they have told us we can take advantage of for our members.

Continental Flight Discounts: getting positive feedback from people about this, that they have been able to lower their travel costs a little.

Room share/Ride share: We have not heard of anyone with any outstanding room or ride share needs. Please post in appropriate threads to make arrangements.

This is as much updated information as we have at the moment.

Please continue to ask questions if there is anything that you need to be clarified.

Thanks Rachel. Things are really looking good. Finaly coming together. I believe that we are going to have one of the best if not the best conferences ever held.

Is there going to be any way for persons from various forums to find each other and meet briefly as a group? (i.e., persons who participate in the Federal Forum) Zelda

Yes, what will be doing is getting people to indicate on the day what their interests are, and take it from there.

I received disappointing news and I'm not going to be able to attend. If there is anyone there locally who wants to attend and doesn't have the $ for the conference ticket, you can give them mine.
