Notice to new members intending to register - from January 9th 2012

I got a call from my babe last night...he was furious!!! Apparently this months playboy has 2 women who are mildly touching each other...my babe got a mail violation for it!!! Why bother allowing Playboy if our guys can get violations for it, when it's not their fault for the content. Did anyone else's sweetie get a violation for this months issue of Playboy?? My babe is at South Fork. I know this stuff is supposed to be across the board in the mailrooms, just wondering if South Fork is different somehow on this stuff. He's never had a problem getting his mags anywhere, not even at South Fork until now. I'm gonna go get my Dad's Playboy and take a gander at it and see what the fuss is about.

Everyone was violated! But the good news is for the most part they get around 10 of the 12 issues per year and that is pretty good, I guess. I have written playboy about being careful with their women on women poses because their magazine is one of the few that are allowed behind the walls and although the men enjoy the pictures they also enjoy the articles and just plain old enjoy getting something to read other then Harliquen Romances that are in their library. I got the "standard response" letter back but at least I let them know how much we appreciate them and got the message across approipriately.

Could I ask what a "mail violation" means? Does that just mean the issue has been returned and the inmate is notified? Or is it some type of disciplinary violation that goes on their record and results in some type of sanction?

Zelda,

A mail violation means just what you guessed - the issue has been returned and the inmate is notified; there is no disciplinary action or sanction.

However, a minor correction: not everyone was violated. The issue got through in some places.

Yeah, my guy mentioned something about it getting rejected, but I thought he had said it was last months, cause I think he got the new one yesterday?!
I wish that they would just rip out the page where the girls are touching and then let them have the rest. I mean, it would take less time than writing out the mail violations

Yes you would think they would just tear out the page but it must be to simple to do.
Guess they would rather mail out violations. Playboy I believe is the best magazine as far as I can see. Whats the big deal! Too many chiefs not enough Indians. Everyone tries to comply.
