My husband is at Beaumont Medium..any idea what is going on..I called but all they will say is everything is ok..find that hard to believe when visits are cancelled and no phone!

I heard there was a stabbing. I havent heard anything else. I will let everyone know when I hear something.

ICK....Another frickin stabbing? That place is the worst. So many gangs.....so many stupid people.....so many stabbings. And someday those idiots will be out on the streets again, more violent and stupid then when they went in because there is no rehabilitation.....just survival. Selfish fools don't care the whole place has to go on lockdown because they want to be stupid and cause trouble. Maybe they don't have loved ones that want to hear their voice or get a visit so they make sure others will suffer because they do have loved ones and lockdowns prevent them from having the routine of talking and/or visiting. Very poor management if they can't figure out how to transfer stupid idiots to the same place and leave others that just want to do their time with no trouble in a place together instead of being mixed up with miserable trouble causing fools. I will be happy when my brother is home and done with all the bs and away from such fools.

They may have lost their phone privillages. Hopefully one of us will hear something soon. Mine used his last stamp last week, and I dont know if he has money. So I wont know anything, even if they can use the phones. If anyone hears anything let all of us know please!

well they are definately off total lockdown because the campers aren't needed to work, as they are doing their own work.
my husband said they might not have their phones on, or they might be only leting people out to work. more than likely the first.
but keep in mind, all of the guys haven't used the phone in almost a week, so while i'm sure you honey would call you the minute he can, he's probably in a long line of other guys who wanted to use the phone. so it could also be that.

sorry i haven't been here to respond earlier my computer had gone completely apeshit and my only saving grace was melissa!!!!

I got a letter from hubby. of course it's old - dated 4/2. The only thing he said was that there was a really big fight - maybe as many as 60 people (he can tend to exaggerate though) and there were a lot of weapons. Said he just ran to his cell and shut the door. Gotta love him for being safe for me! He did include a letter from the warden to the inmates saying they would be in indefinite lockdown and no visits until further notice. They were going to sweep the cells and also no commissary until possibly this week. I know that's not much help but that's the info I got......

I called today to Beaumont Medium and I was told they were on lockdown. I haven't heard from my son so I am very concerned. Does anyone know anything?

carandan - I haven't heard from my brother either and I know he has plenty of money and phone minutes and would call if he was not locked down. Something else must have happened if they are locked down again. My brother did say that a particular gang was growing in numbers due to transfers coming in and some being released from the SHU and this gang loves violence and tries to run the yard and have been causing a lot of trouble lately. He just stays in his cell most of the time and is hoping to make it out of there when his time is done since they won't let him transfer.

Thank you to the ones that post what they have found out about Beaumont medium because it is very helpful to get some information on what is going on.

Don't have much $. But, if anyone lives close to me and wants to ride share....please let me know. Haven't seen my hubby in over 1.5 years and miss him so....Live in Colo. Willing to ride share God willing my vehicle makes it lol....just put some money into the old darlin' vehicle! would be more than happy to pay all gas if someone can help with direcions and share a hotel....let me know. I am not prejudiced. We all share a common bond--want to see our loved ones. No matter what goes on "in there", we are all sisters. So, if anyone is interested, I live in Colo. and will be more than happy to find a sister looking for a ride etc.

Thx Melissa.....Son is getting married in 7 weeks and if I have any money left from that I would like to go then. But....I've been unemployed for quite some time and if I ever get hired for a job that may change the plans. For now, I am tentatively planning June so I will post when I've got more info o.k. I love kids --no worries there!

That would be great. I am also unemployed right now, so money is really tight. I cant even get unemployment. June would be great, Ds b-day is in June.

Yes I am in the same boat as you. Jobs are really hard to find - I am either over qualified or underqualified! I will keep you posted. I really would like to get down there!

A few years ago I was out of work, and went over to our Texas Workforce office and signed up with them. They gave me gas money every week and paid my house payment for one month, and also a car repair. Im not exactly sure what they do now, but it might be worth your time to drive over if you have one there, and check into it. They also have a web site where you can look for jobs. Maybe its have changed, I dunno, just a suggestion. They were very helpful to me and it wasnt a lot of red tape. Good Luck!

Ive been in their system for a couple of years. But thanks to my MIL I cant go back to work for the company I worked for(or ones like it) for a while. Thanks for the info though.
