Yes, you can take your daughter. We never had trouble getting an appointment at Madison. Keep trying and good luck.

Keep hitting the redial button. Once you get there, you can fill out a conformation card for upcoming visits. You will have your conformation number wehn you wal out and the phone thing will be a nasty memory.
I see lots of kids in the visiting room and the CO's are pretty good about not throwing a fit if they get a little loud or anything. They usually are very helpful as far as getting you a good seat so you can have some family time.

I just left MaCI, you're right nobody ever get thru to schedule a visit, everybody in there knows it too. You're best bet is to keep trying by phone then when you show up for that one schedule another one, that's what my parents did.

Your child can use the reading room, there were always kids in there when I had visits.

You only need reservations for the weekends now, but it will fill up quick during the week. They were terminating visits to let others in.

My son has been at Maison for 20 days now and I have NO idea how he is doing! My son wrote me on the 5th and told me they put him in protective custody to keep him safe from his co defendant! I have been calling for 20 days and have gotten nowhere! He hasn't been able to call me and I believe he has ran out of scrap paper to write me. I have written him about 6 times and his girlfriend has done the same. As far as I know he has only gotten one of those letters! I finialy got someone to give me the case managers extention number... I have call it on Wednesday and Friday~left all the info he asked for and have yet to hear anything back from him! I called up there today to see if I could leave a message on the wardens number~they told me to call back tomorrow! I went to the jail that my son was at before he got moved to Madison...He told me to complain and talk to the warden. He said that he should be able to talk to me! I would love to know if anyone else had ever had this problem and what they did about it! I'm at my wits end...I"ve been stuck in my house for 20 for fear that I will miss his call if he ever gets to call!

Default advice?!

My fiancee is in MaCI. For a long time it was nearly impossible to get through on the phone line!! Apparently, they have implemented a new system, because I get through fairly easily now. Just a little piece of advice...They say you can't schedule more than 30 days in advance, but call at the beginning of the month before!!! (ex: call on January 1st to schedule a visit ANY time during February.) I usually get the weekend day that I need by doing this. If you wait until your visit to schedule your next visit...the calanders may very well be full!! =]

I have 2 @ MaCI and calling in the morning (first thing) you have a better chance getting through. If a particular weekend is full, calling on Thurs. or Fri. the week of, to check if theres been any cancelations you may be in luck someone may have canceled and you'll be able to get in.
