Default Security Level - Parole?

Do you think that their security level affects the possibility of parole? I mean is someone in GP more likely to get paroled than someone in Ad Seg? I would think they are but that is just me and I am hoping I am not right. How often to you see someone in Ad Seg get paroled? My guy is in Ad Seg (obviously by the question ) and is up for parole in Nov/Dec 09. If he doesn't make it this time then he is a free man 01/2011 which ends his 9 year sentence. I really hope that he makes it then again who on here isn't.

technically, no, all parole cases are reviewed individually. But, realistically, yes. What is he in ad seg for? Gang affiliation? Discipline issues? All of those can and do have a bearing on voting decisions.

If someone is a known gang member or behaves so badly while in prison that they have to be isolated from the general population, why would one vote to release that person into society?

That is exactly how I saw it. Why would you? That is a good question and knowing why he made the choices that he made while he has been there makes that question difficult to answer because I want to say you wouldn't but the way things happened that led to it, why wouldn't you is also how I see it. So it is a question that I have to understand someone asking but also a question that I could say why wouldn't you if......

He has since removed himself from that gang affiliation but remains in ad seg. Guess we will just have to see how it plays out. Thank you for your response. I know it plays a part no matter the reason they are there, guess I just needed others opinions.
