When does TDCJ put the info on release and where to pick up on the inmate locator? Is there a certain time frame or is it at their convenience?
R.G.'s release date is 7/8/09. Just wondering.

I know I don't know the answer to the question. It seems that for release to mandatory supervision the information seems to appear soon after they come within the 30 days window prior to their PRD even if the baord has not yet voted. That would appear to happen automatically and not once approved. All I can offer about release to parole is that they can't post release information before a release date is set. It seems that I recall some posting here that reelase information never appeared onthe locator so that seems to be a possibility, as well. How do you know his release date? Is it for parole?

Be sure and call to verify any info you see on the Inmate Locater. Releases have been posted that didn't happen and it is very disappointing to find out later that it wasn't true. In my humble opinion they should NEVER post a release date until it has been approved by the board.

R.G. falls under the "offense committed prior to 9/1/96" and will be released on 7/8/09, unless there is a mis-counting or whatever. So we know the release date. He will be released to parole. So I guess waiting is going to be the best bet. I have the phone number to call and later in June, believe me I will be calling. Thanks for your help.
