Well let me start this way my Name is Deana I'm 27 and My fiance of 5 years just got 120 days for misdamenor larcaney isn't that crap? I've never been in trouble so this is new to me any help would be great ! Dose anyone kno about how many days he will really have to do? We have two boys together and this is the hardest thing that has ever happened to us I've neverhad to be with out him for longer than a few days I don'tknow what to do! I visit him everytime he has a visit and have paytel which is very expensive and dose anyone know if when he gets moved to prison will it still be paytel and if his funds on his books transfers with him? Any help will be great even just some new friends to talk to whos in the same place i am in! Please pray for us his name is Jason!

Welcome to PTO. Honey we are all in your shoes. Luckily your fiance only has 120 days. Most of us have a much longer wait. I can tell you that there will be some good days and some bad, but the good news is 120 days will fly by. Keep strong and hopefully things will go smooth for you and your family.

To answer some of your questions, Paytel is not the system that the DOP uses. You will have to set up an account with Global Tel Link www.gtl.net

Yes, his funds in his account in county jail will transfer over to prison with him, however, his property will not. Someone will need to pick that up, or he'll mail it home once he's at the processing facility.

Also, if he was sentenced to 120 days, that's what he'll do, unless he had a minimum and a maximum. If it was just straight 120, most likely, he'll do just that.

Thank you to the ones who wrote back it helps to talk to people who know what I'm going through! I know his time is a lot less than most of your loved ones and my prayers and thoughts are with you! The 120 days seems like forever so I can only imagane how years feel! I had a best friend in the system for 8 years and his family went through a lot! Please if there is anything I can do to help please let me know if your loved one is near me and you need a place to stay while you visit your welcome here! I live in the triad area. Also will jason thats my fiance's name get gain time? He's at forsyth county jail now he comes back to davie court to have his probation violated and it is going to run concurent with this sentence then he thinks he'll go to goldsboro so will he get gain time? concurent dose that mean he'll only do 120 days?
