Default 1st Time Visiting Beaumont Low

I have some questions about visitation at Beaumont Low and would appreciate any help y'all can give me. My son told me that the odd/even visitation only applies for the weekend. We were going on a weekday and he says it doesn't apply on weekdays. Is that correct? My next question is in regard to proper attire: I know you can't wear anything low cut, sleeveless, shorts above the knee but can you wear flip flops? I had also read on here that you can't wear an underwire bra? Is that correct? (which ought to be a very pretty sight in regards to me). This is going to be our first visit and I would like for everything to go as smoothly as possible. Another thing, even if adults aren't allowed to wear flip flops, can children? And what about crocs? Can you wear crocs?

Hi, I cant answer all your ??? because hubby is at the Medium.
I dont think adults can wear flip flops, but I have seen children wear them. Kids can also wear shorts and tank top type shirts. As an adult I would not try to wear shorts. Your better off sticking with capris.
No underwire bras either. I was told at the Medium they were stopping that, when I visited back in March. Although they didnt say when.
You can look on the bop.gov website for the Low visiting rules. HTH Melissa

Flip flops can go either way depending on the guard, I wear them all the time at the camp. Shorts however are a no-go. Sleeveless is a no-go as well. low cut isn't allowed but that is up to the guards discretion as to what is low cut. Crocs are cool. They'll let you go to your car to get something to change, but it will just delay your visit and get you frustrated so I would dress VERY conservatively the first day and see what every one else does. Stick with jeans/t-shirt some thing like that. Also the even/odd thing only applies to weekends.

as a first time visitor, i learned plenty...
be prepared to fill out a form (take a pen)
take your car's license number,
know or take your inmates number,
try not to wear too much jewelry,
take plenty of quarters in a clear plastic bag($20 per person),
ohhh and most importantly... don't wear anything kaki colored... they won't let you in!
enjoy your visit!
