Default Changes to visits

I went up to visit my brother this weekend & wanted to let everyone know about a couple changes to visits coming. He thinks they'll be effective as of this coming weekend. First, there won't be any more homemade food allowed at food visits. Must be purchased at a restaurant or grocery store with receipts attached. Also changing, the guys can't take snacks back with them.

Not sure exactly why the changes are happening. My brother mentioned that a month or so ago there was an incident with a visitor attempting to bring in a pretty big amount of drugs. Since then he said small things are beginning to change- getting stricter. It's unfortunate that these few incidences are making life worse for everyone, but I know that's just the way it goes.

This is already the way it is in WMCC in Cameron and has been for a while...seems to be just the way DOC is headed in general to try and stop some of games that are being played by people as you said it is unfortunate that everyone else has to pay for it.

That's what I figured. When he was moved to Maryville we were surprised the guys get so much freedom- especially compared to Boonville where he last was. We were all kind of shocked when he could actually go to the vending machines & use a microwave. We got so used to having to do everything for him. A little sense of normalcy is kinda nice!
