my husband been in 1 year... and 3 (hopefully) to go, we still have not had his probation violation hearing, just praying they dont wait untill the dsay he realease to pick him up on it....

If he doesnt make parole, he's down till 2017.

Default How many years down, how many left?
I wish there was a ticker that would tell people how long we have been doing this. I know I could do two tickers, but I don't think I have room, and I am not sure a ticker goes that high.

I know not everyone pays attention to the tickers, but I don't want anyone to think "Man she only (get that ONLY lol) has less than 4 years left, why is she on this board? I don't have a ticker saying that I have already done over 16 years!

I know that 20 years is probably a drop in the bucket to what some of you are looking at, and I can't even imagine the people who love someone who is a lifer. My heart goes out to you!

So, how long has everyone already done, and how long left?

I have been doing this for almost 4 years (since his initial arrest) and I have 21 years and 7 months to go.

I agree with you about the 2 ticker thing. I tried it once (one showing how long since this all started, and one showing how long we have left to go) but its against PTO policy to have more then one ticker at a time. I was bummed.

My ticker shows how long my husband has been gone and we have until at least 2017...max out I believe is 2020. I remind myself daily we are just blessed to have an out date. =)

He's been down for 11yrs with a little over 4 left til first parole. His max out is in 2029.

Mine got life but was released after 20 years back in 2002. He had a parole violation and went back in 2006. He gets a hearing in August and will probably be released in October 2010 but right into the hands of the feds, then we start a new countdown of 35 months with them. Interesting to see everyone's time. Hang in ther ladies because we got each other too. We can do this by the grace of God.

My love only got 9 months served, serving a 35 year sentence....... able for parole in 2013 so hoping he can be out by then!

Super jealous of all you lucky ducks that do have an 'out' date! My cutie pie has been in for 10 years....and he's on the row....so unlike most of you, I'm -thankful- for every day that he's actually in prison!

Hello ladies I'm new to this. Right now I've done 6 months and still don't know how much he's serving. He's facing a mandatory minimum of 10 years and I feel like I'm going out of my mind.

Lets see, he went into jail in December 2007. Was sentenced 18 years in Jan 2008, he has to serve 85% of that before being eligible for parole which would be in 2023. His max out date is December 2025
