Default Visiting at stillwater

Hello,

Ok so Im new to this and all so sorry if Im slow but I finally got approved to go see my husband in Stillwater and Im super excited about that. He was telling me I cant wear bras with wires no shirts with my back showing and skirts or dresses well below the knee. I tried going on the MN DOC website to find like a full dress code but I found nothing. He also told me absolutely no metal... zippers? I dont know I just dont wantt to get my visiting rights taken away so if anyone could help me and answer my questions and maybe give me more valuable information that'd be awfully great....

Thanks

Every prison is different. I would suggest calling and talking to the prison and ask them what you need to not wear. The only thing I have ever experienced is no metal in your bra. I would suggest getting a pullover sports bra thats what I had to do. Its not just the wires in the bra either I had one that the clasp set off the detector and they made me take it off. I never wear belts, and they will make you take off your jewlery( but they let me put it back on). Oh yeah and if you have metal frame glasses they do make you take them off to while they send you through the metal detector. Oh yeah and no hooded sweatshirts either. Never had a problem with jeans though. I hope this helps.

I think your man is being a little too cautious! I wear bras with under wire... As far as the shirts and skirts part. that is true! Ya need to wear jeans and a shirt! NO HOODS!

I tryed to post the URL for the DOC website statwide visiting rules, but it wouldn't let me. So heres how you get to the page, go to the DOC website then click on Offender Information on the left hand side, then click on Visiting Information from the dropdown box, then go down on the page to where you see Statewide Visiting Room Rules, it will tell you everything you will need to know about what to wear and what can and can't be done. Although some prisons may be more leanent than others! I hope it helps! Have fun!!

I'm late .. I hope you got to visit. I have been denied a contact visit because my clasp on my bra was setting of the metal detector !!!! So ~ It's how they have the detectors set for that day. I've never had a problem with zippers or anything like that .. let us know how the first visit went/goes.
