Heres a list of the institutions currently offering Corrlinks email to inmates;
- clarinda
- iowa medical and classification center (imcc)
- mitchelville (the lady i talked to on the phone, lynn, said they are looking into "outbound" emails for inmates. since they were the first ones to try corrlinks, they will be the first ones to test "outbound" emails. most likely, if it proves to be a good thing, the other institutions will pick it up. she wasn't sure when this would be tested out, though.)
- newton
- anamosa state pen

Heres a list of the instutions NOT currently offering Corrlinks email to inmates:
- fort dodge correctional facility (don't know when they will be offering)
- iowa state pen (also don't know when they will be offering)
- mt pleasant (as of Nov 1st will be offering emails)

i never did get a call back for rockwell city, so if anyone knows if they offer emails post below.

Morgantown FCI will also change to Corrlinks......by 10/05/2009 we will receive an identification code to set up our accounts....HUGZZ!!!

According to what my husband heard at Oakdale, and again this is just what he has heard from other guys in there, Rockwell City actually has a lot more computer access. He said that he heard they have an automated system for ordering from commissary rather than by paper and that they get to use the computers there. That could just be a rumor started by someone at IMCC but that's what he has heard.

i was curious myself!!

i am however, excited about the aspect of them being able to write back..
it would be great if my husband could go to rockwell city, but his points are too high until he gets moved. so no minimum camp for us it looks like

North Central Correctional Facility (Rockwell City) is receiving emails! I have a pen-pal there. I can't wait until where my guy is at can get it. He just won't know what to do with himself with so much mail!

i tried checking to see if i could send an email to my husband ((wouldnt let me yet))...

Does anyone know if North Central can send out emails yet? My boyfriend heard that, that is one of the camps that can reply to our emails...

My pen-pal that's there, said it's coming, but not sure when, so for now, now they can not. If I hear differently from him, will let you know.
