Anyone know about sending packages to MCTC from Walkenhorsts?

Can you send packages anytime, is there a limit?

Any help would be great.

Hi Mrs,

I don't know anything about MCTC, but I know my man has had specific package timeframes at all of the facilities he's been in so far. I think June was shoes/underclothes and October is clothes/jackets at his facility. You might want to check with your loved one and see when his package time is - I'm sure he'll know! I've heard of people sending packages through Walkenhorsts and Eastbay, but last time I ordered stuff for my man I ordered it right from macys.com.

FYI to anyone else wanting to send packages to MCTC:

I was trying to surprise him but had to ask him eventually. They can order clothing soon. I could order from Walkenhorsts online myself, but I've heard they are more expensive. He wants to order from Union Supply, so I'll have to send him the money and he'll have to place his order there. I has to have the money by November 11th to order.

What kinds of things can you order? I thought you could only order books!! But you can order from like Macy's and send it directly to them? Cool! I'm so new at this!

lol Sloane, don't get too excited! Each facility has their own rules and not all of them allow 3rd party packages (packages ordered from people other than the inmate himself). Your loved one can probably fill you in on the rules for that kind of stuff, and if he doesn't know...tell him to ask someone!

Personally, I find it way easier to just go online and order the stuff for him and have it shipped than having to deal with money orders and all that stuff so I was really happy when he finally got to a place that allowed 3rd party packages - and so was he! haha. I still feel nervous when I order stuff for him because I'm always afraid it won't get through for some reason, but so far we've been okay.

My man usually gets a list of things he's allowed to have ordered. For example, during his undergarments package time, he was allowed to get a pair of shoes that costed less than $100, up to 6 or 8 pairs of underwear, etc.

ChickfromMD...thanks! I'm going to ask him next time we talk and tell him to ask around. It was new to him that I could order from Walkenhorsts online and that would be easier for me and faster for him.

Which facility is your guy at?
