Default man guilty of assault

Man guilty of assault I just don't get it , my three striker is serving 25 years for hiiiis stupid non serious felony and this guy was out, why? why?, why?why? i just don't get it

The article is kind of confusing so I'm not sure what you object to.

If I'm understanding the article, he was serving 23 years already. He was charged while still in prison with a new charge from the early 90s and is is facing another 29 years when sentenced, then commitment as a sexually violent predator if he doesn't die in prison.

This is probably not true: "Ward is not eligible for California’s three-strike law, because the original 1985 offense was before the law’s implementation." There is probably something else going on there because I think a strike can be as old as 1985.

They used 2 priors from before the 3 strikes law (1994) to strike my hubby out. His priors were non-violent property crimes from 1988 and 1991. His new case was in 2003.
