Question Letter to Judge

My bf has to write a letter to the 2 judges that will be sentencing him - are there any threads out here already that might help me see what this letter should say? Or anyone who has done this that could give some insight?

I know the obvious topics but is there anyone out there who has written a letter to a judge before, it's about him wanting to change his life and seeking help, etc, instead of more jail/prison time...

I want to make sure we don't miss anything!

Any advice is greatly appreciated!!

Take responsibility and do not make excuses....that would be my advice.

There's no formula. The goals are to humanize the defendant, offer hope for the future, and provide anything that indicates a corner has been turned. What is presented in those efforts is an entirely individual thing. It is a good time to demonstrate teh ability to take responsibility and seek help. It is a bad idea to minimize conduct that has already been proven. You are going to lay out "plan B".
Typical things to focus on are family, work, education, physical health, mental health, community support, family support, and rehab.

By the way, 2 judges? What is the jurisdiction?
