Dec 1 changes - Rowan, Anson & Cleveland

As of today, Dec. 1, Rowan CC has merged to become a minimum custody unit of nearby Piedmont Correctional Institution and Anson CC becomes a minimum custody unit of neighboring Brown Creek CI.

These are administrative changes, they do not require the transfer of inmates, who will continue living in the same buildings they have been living in.

Mail for inmates at Rowan should now be sent to Piedmont CI address:
1245 Camp Road
Salisbury NC 28147

Mail for inmates at Anson should be sent to the Brown Creek CI address:
PO Box 310
Polkton NC 28135

Also - Cleveland Correctional Center in Shelby is closed effective today - Dec. 1.

These are all changes mandated by the budget that the state legislature passed this summer.
