Using Permanent marker

I used permenent marker to write on some paper photos I sent. do you know if this is a mail Violation? It kind of has that permenent marker smell. I have to ask because I know how DOC is particular about those types of things.

Permanent markers are OK, everyone knows the smell and would not suspect it to be a digestible drug embedded in the paper. Use a fine point abd put their DOC number on all property and pictures.
