Exclamation CAN ANYONE HELP ME!?? I have NO help, and I don't really know what's going on.

-I was charged with multiple delivery charges in Arkansas. I have 2 Y felonies and a D felony. I sold prescription adderall and clonazepam to an undercover cop. I actually had I believe 6 charges total because they set me up 3 times and I sold both pills each time, But they reduced it to the three. The first offer was a 4yr sentence and RPF recommendation with 10yr suspension, My attorney said she could not reach the pros. attorney before my court date so I never heard any other offer before I went to court.

-When we showed up they gave me a new offer to plea for a 10yr sentence and 10yr suspended. with recommendation to boot camp. My lawyer said the wait in county wouldn't be more than a couple months at most, and I would go directly to the boot camp. I asked If my seizure disorder would affect if I got accepted or my mental health conditions- she said it wouldn't I would definatly get it no problem. I asked if I had to go to diagnostics before going to the boot camp and she said no. I asked if I had to shave my head, she said no, and I asked if I still got family visitations and calls and she said yes, definatly. I was given the offer during court 20 minutes before going before the judge and entering my plea and told if I didn't take it I wouldn't get that good of a deal later. My attorney promised I would be doing less time by taking this offer even though the sentencing was 6yrs more, because of the boot camp recommendation. I had no time to think about what I was signing. They promised I would get into the program no problem, but I have a seizure condition and afraid I won't be accepted or able to complete it.

-I signed the deal, but I am out on a medical extension until march 11th. I'm 24yrs old. I have no priors of any kind, I'm a mother of two children, one is 5 and one is 2. I was a Vol. firefighter for 2 years in my community until my seizures affected my safety on the dept. I have a LONG history of duel conditions-since I was 9yrs old with records of this, and was under the influence during 2 of my 3 deliveries. I've never done anything like this before, I was under EXTREAM stress during that time, I lost 4 of my friends in that year, was in a BAD wreck, couldn't work because of my seizures, and my step father left my mom stranded to take care of my younger brother. I gave her all the money from what I sold to help feed my brother. I know everyone has a story and i'm not innocent and understand I need to face consequences. I just want to know what my options are, my lawyer never gave me any! I'm not a violent offender, and I'm not the type to repeat my actions. I made bad decisions, can anyone help me? Or at least let me know what of the information provided by my lawyer was correct in regards to the boot camp program? I'm VERY confused and don't understand what's going on and what I'm facing

I'm very sorry for your sitiuation, my man has been down for 10 years so i've become a pro when it comes to the ADOC. Your lawyer was correct in telling you to take that plea, otherwise you would have did more time with the 4 years. What she failed to tell you is that it's only a ''recommendation'' for bootcamp. If your not accepted for any reason you will have to do the 10 years, which means at least 2 1/2 years before PE. You may also want to contact your lawyer and be sure none of your Y felonies fall under the 70% rule. No phone calls are allowed unless its an emergency. You must earn visitation, only letters are allowed. Its a dice game as far as how long you will wait in county. The ADC is extremely overcrowded these days.

Take this time to get your affairs in order, enjoy your kids, and get your mind together. I hope this helps. Good luck and God Bless You...

Thank you so much. If I find out I am not eligible for boot camp before my court date to be taken in, is there anything I can do since I've already signed the deal?? I just can't stand the thought of being away from my children for basically 3 years!! I don't want to get out of my trouble, I know i'm not getting out without some punishment. I just wouldn't have taken the deal if I wasn't lied to about it. I would have pushed harder for the 4yrs and direct transfer to RPF.

At any rate, thank you SO much for your time and responding.

You wont find out if you are eligible for boot camp until after you get to diagnostics. You will go from county to diagnostics once a spot opens in the ADC. Once at diagnostics you will be interviewed to see if you are eligible for the boot camp.

My fiance has been in for over 2 years. He was lied to also about the boot camp. He was told he would be eliglible for it. When he got to diagnostics he found out one of his charges (that was a bogus charge anyhow) prevented him from getting in. His sentence was 10 years so he has to do 2 1/2 years. We are in the last few months of it. He left behind a 10 yo son from a previous relationship. His son is now 13. It's been hard but it can be done successfullly. I wish you the best. Keep your head up and stay strong!

A judge can not send you to bootcamp and your lawyer knows this. The women do not go to Diagnostics Unit in Pine Bluff, that is for the men only, women will go to the McPherson Unit in Newport and possibly the women's unit in Wrightsville. If you are bootcamp eligible a Bootcamp representative will visit you at your unit and explain when you will go to bootcamp. The good news is they only talk to those that are eligible so if they come talk to you then you will be ok.

While I hope this helps, if you wait in jail til you are sent to boot camp you can ask for for jail credit which will come off of the time you have to serve in boot camp. But here in Arkansas there is a facility called DCC and it would be alot better for you than boot camp these facilities are different. At DCC you can get the treatment you need, you can attend classes while you are there, and you have counselors there to help you daily, this is also a 9 MONTH program so if you work your program and follow the directions that are given to you, you can go home in 9 months, but if for some reason you do not follow to directions and rules there you could stay longer than 9 months, or they have the right to send you to ADC, for the full sentence. Being away from your family is hard, but at DCC you do not have to worry about any violent activity happening there is ACD for that. I would ask my attorney about going to DCC instead of boot camp. This facilty is located in Pine Bluff,
