Default making parole

If an inmate has violent charges and is released on parole, do theyy have to wait 30 days to come home or are they released the next day? Ive heard both ways.

Its been my experience that if an inmate makes parole they are released as soon as the paperwork has been completed, no matter what the charges are, unless special conditions have been imposed that take time to complete before release.

When I paroled, our home plans were supposed to be completed before we saw the board. If they had been approved, we were released that same day (I was). If not the inmate was held on pocket parole until a home plan had been approved. Now inmates are even not seen by the board unless they have an approved home plan. Its my understanding that some inmates are released that day and some are held a week to 10 days until paper work is completed - it just depends on the facility and the paperwork.
