You should figure about 14 days for paperwork. it could be less, but that's the average they're giving right now. If he finishes on April 2nd, his counselor must e-mail the insitution parole office, then they e-mail HBG, then HBG "certfifies" that it's been done, then a release order is faxed, then the inmate is notified.

Like I said, allow two weeks.

Well my friend told me her husband called he last week and said he graduated the program she thought it was april 2 but he finished about 2 weeks ago. So my question is he should be home the 1st or 2nd week in april right?

I'd say that's a fair timeline. Let us know!

I think you're being optimistic. The approval process for the halfway house could take a few weeks or more. The bed date he gets back will be a few months beyond that. If he's in a halfway house by July, he'll have caught a tailwind.

Is he going to a halfway house or did he get a approved home plan?

Is it just it just my man they're dragging their feet with?? 2 weeks after his feb 4th hearing they sent his greensheet stating "pending" because when he completed his aod classes they forgot to check the box whether he needed outpatient care or not.he was evaluated and was told he does NOT need follow up care as he was required to complete 21 aod classes and he did 45.also you have to score a 5 or higher to need outpatient rehab care.he scored a 2.and the lady who evaluated him said she will fax the results to harrisburg right away.2 weeks ago today i called the parole board and the lady who i talked to was so nice and said,"no decision yet"..then said hold on a minute and i heard her say,"veronica.."and she put me on hold.she then got back on and told me there was activity on his case (I guess meaning they were right then reviewing it??)because she said he will hear very soon.......still NOTHING...I'd rather deal with a no than this horrible uncertainty of waiting...I feel so anxious.maybe i'll call again??!!

A couple things ...

First, a home plan can "expire." I don't know if it's 90 days or 120 days, but a home plan going back to 2009 may need to be resubmitted.

Second, even if there is an approved home plan, they can decide to send the parolee to a halfway house.

Third, The Board can't tell a caller anything about a decision until AFTER they tell the inmate.

Last, the RRRI minimum is contingent upon successful completion of programs. regardless of why, if the programs aren't done, the RRRI minimum will be denied by the Board. We're trying to get more programming into the prisons, but they cry about the budget. We're trying to get programs into the halfway houses ... they just shake their heads.

Bobble..

When the parole office came to my house for the home plan she told me that the home plan approval is only good for 120 days before it expires.

I agree Mrsstyer09, Whatever your circumstances you can trust God is working behind the scenes. I can no longer worry or cry...I just have to believe there is a reason...Maybe to make sure he never goes back.
