Exclamation Need help

Hi-

I would like to know when my boyfriend gets out of federal prison in Sept, He will be deported back to Mexico, and he wants me to come to Arizona so we can go across the border together. Would this be possible? Will Immigration let us go across together or Do I have meet him at the border? And what border will they dropped him off at?

Thank you, and have a nice day!!

I am not sure that you will be allowed to cross together, I believe and could very easily be wrong that ICE will take custody of your BF at the end of his stay and he will be transported (via bus if at border state) to the border and ICE hands your BF over to the authorities on the Mexican side. Of course this does not prevent you from crossing the border and meeting him on the other side, but I would check with your BF to find out if he is being transported by ICE and turned over at the border to authorities. If that is the case you would not be walking with him across the border. As he would be entering through a different path then you. Also many countries simply let their citizens go about their business after the hand off so it shouldn't pose a problem. I would be cautious if there were plans to re-enter the US by your BF after deportation, him being a felon who is deported I believe he is permanently banned from re-entry (if not permanent there is a minimum of a 5-20 year wait on application to enter legally) and if caught on the US side of the border could result in a very long sentence. Sorry I couldn't help more but I am sure others on line have experienced this exact situation and will be able to give you better information... Good luck to you both.

Just try and find out when they will be releasing him. ICE will pick him up and transport to border. You can ask others who have been deported in AZ where they let them go at. If you know the day you could go down there, but its the time thats the problem. I knew that day my husband would be deported, just not the time. He did not want me go there alone to wait. Now I would do it anyway. I spent one year going to and from Mexico with a friend or alone since he was in his state and I was fine!

He gets released on Sept 9th. I don't want to go alone, I rather have someone like him go with me. I'm new to Mexico and I'm new to this whole deal. But thanks!!

Ok I see you live far away from the border so I am guessing you won't be going down there to check things out before he gets out. Have him ask around inside if anyone has ever beeen deported through AZ and they might be able to tell him more about it. Do you have any family that might be able to go with you? And do you speak any spanish, thats a plus. I know how very much you want to be there to see him the minute he is in Mexico its what we all wanted. Have you tried any of the other forums maybe the one for the place he is being held? Some one there might have more information. If they were going to deport him into Tijuana I would go meet you and take you to the border into Mexico. I don;t speak much spanish but I have a friend who does and she has gone with me many times. Good luck and I hope you find more information before he is released. Take care.

Thank you. Yeah, I live in Maryland. I speak some spanish but not all. he told me that he'll be in nogales mexico. but i told him to call me when he is in mexico & i'll get a plane to az and i gotta call a shuttle that will take me across the border, i dont have a passport, i need one when i come back. my friend is in mexico right now w/o one & she told me how to do it. idk where they will take him once he gets released. No, I don't have family to go with me. My mom is going to stay here and watch my house and all. But i will keep you updated. i so don't want to go across with a baby. She'll be 11 months when he gets out. But thank you.
