help!!/Altanda Detention Center

my man was in wayside jail with immigration hold on him and today in the morning i got a call saying that he is no longer in custody of los angeles.
It said that he is in altadena for another case...

is this means he's already in immigration detention center or is just another jail?

if he's already with immigration when he get to see the judge and am I allow to go in when he sees the judge?

From there how long and how is the process gonna be?

are we allow to visit him to give him money or his clothes?

Possibly, it could be Immigration Jail, or it could be another Prison for another County where he has to serve additional time for. (i.e. if he was on probation or parole in another county, he has to serve time there as well, in addition to the new crime)

If it's INS, he will go in front of a Judge for Bail within 30 days. After he gets processed into the INS Jail, and into General Population, he will have an opportunity to make a phone call. (usually within a few days, depending on how crowded the jail is)

what INS does is contract a regular prison, so that the regular prison can hold INS detainees. There isn't a special INS prison.

I can only tell you to be patient.
