Question How many times did they put in for the halfway house before they got it?

I have a question. This is a pretty broad question, but for those of you who have loved ones just recently approved for a half way house, how many times did they put in for the half way before they got it? I have been hearing a bunch of different stories and I know it is different for each person but I just want to see how the approval rate as been this year.

My boyfriend was denied parole but approved for the halfway house. He was approved for the hwh the 1st time . It took one month to get approval. He then had a 7 month wait to be transfered.

It depends on a lot of different factors, the county they are applying to, their offense, their behavior in prison. Some counties are easy to get into and some aren't. If they're denied by one county, then it's up to DOC's discretion to submit them to another one. If DOC determines that they won't be accepted then they won't do it. They can re-apply 6 months after the denial but again, that is up to the CM's discretion, they don't have to re-submit them. If their CM is a real jerk, then they prolly won't do it.
