Default Any experience?

My fiance was granted parole in April and was tabled, but recently had his parole plan submitted early. I received a visit from the parole office to do the "house inspection" on June 3. When I talked to the gentleman last Friday to followup, I was told they were still waiting for a supervisor signature. Has anyone had experience with this part of the release process and how long it takes? I was told 2-6 weeks, but per my fiance, the guys in the facility with him have said its pretty much within 2 weeks that you're home. I am so anxious I don't know what to do! But more so, I just home everyone is steadfast in whatever part they have in this process, and that they are working to get things done quickly. Outside of calling every couple days to check on the status, what kind of advocate does a loved one have to make sure this kind of thing is facilitated in a timely manner? Thanks for your advice!

You can try calling Offender Services and talking to them. You can also call the parole office yourself and ask to speak to the teamlead. They don't seem to care that we have work and school and kids and need a little planning time.

@gods mercy- Thank you, you hang in there as well! I certainly understand your anxiety, and I certainly hate when there is a lag in the process because one person is dragging their feet. My understanding is, there is a due date/time frame in which the inspection needs to be done (that's what the officer that visited our house relayed to me). Please contact your state's Dept. of Adult Parole and clarify why someone hasn't already visited your house-especially if your husband's parole plan has already been submitted and his PED has already passed- they should be able to tell you both of those things....

@seansbabyluv- that is so funny you said that, I originally scheduled time off for August, which is when we thought he'd be released. Now that they decided to release him early (thank God), I'm not going to be able to give notice for time off- I'll be calling off sick or something, lol. But I did talk to the officer that visited since my initial posting, and he says its ready to go, just need to sign off. He's hoping to have an Out Date for me by this Friday. We'll see! That date will hopefully give me a little leeway on requesting time off. I plan to send a quick Jpay email to J once I hear.

I wouldn't necessarily depend on the PO. You might try calling Time Comp and asking them if they can give you an idea...719-269-4170.

Congratulations!!!!! I'm happy to hear your good news! Once I knew my hubby was coming home, I kept climbing the walls wanting time to pass. Then it hit me that life was getting ready to change dramatically for all of us & I started enjoying the time for what it was. I knew time was short & he'd be home soon & once he was things were going to be crazy for awhile as we adjusted to our new normal.
