personally im not an LBJ fan, but i am a die hard cavs fan, and we need a championship, cleveland sports are cursed, and LBJ is one of our only ways in doing that. we just got byron scott a coach, so if he does stay i think a championship could happen! if he doesn't stay in cleveland, he's either going to miami or chicago, both of which, i cant stand! either way, i wont follow where LBJ goes, ill reamin true to my cavs..just like he should

as far as dwade, hes not leaving miami, dont really care about bosh, and i definitely dont care about paul pierce! yuuuuck im so anti-celtics!

Paul Pierce will stay in Boston for 4 years,$61 million

Amare will go to the Knicks 5 year, $99.7 million

Joe Johnson will stay in Atlanta for approx $119 million over 6 years

Nowitzki will stay in Dallas 4 year, $80 million

I think LBJ is waiting to see what the salaries will be of some of the other players.

I do know one thing for sure with all those high salaries the ticket prices surely will go up and the average Joe and family will have a hard time to afford a ticket along with snacks at the game.

I'm glad that Stoudemire took the lead too. I think with LBJ it depends on where all the key star players will go along with the money. Meaning there can not be 2 star key players on a team...Cleveland was LBJ's team and the Lakers is Kobe's team and so on. There never will be be a Kobe and LBJ on the same team and neither will there be a Chris Bosh and LBJ etc on the same team.

Dwyane Wade is staying in Miami and Chris Bosh will join him. That is final

Where will LeBron James' basketball future take him? The NBA's two-time defending MVP will reveal his destination on "The Decision" on ESPN (Thursday, 9 p.m. ET) in an hourlong special. A portion of these various proceeds will go to the Boys and Girls Club of America.

Didn't see that coming either. Lebron wants to see where every other top free agent will go. I don't think he will join Wade and Bosh. If he does that will come as a shock Then he may be just interested in a ring and will join them for that chance. I mean "how many Yachts can you water ski behind"? Or,he may just stay home or NY time will tell.

Default Blame LeBron's entourage for this mess

This is an interesting article

Thursday night, LeBron will appear on ESPN and announce he's re-signing with the Cavs, who stole Chris Paul via David Stern's for-the-good-of-the-league ruling. You know it's the same ruling that delivered Pau Gasol to the Los Angeles Lakers and Kobe Bryant.
That's how this has to play. LeBron and Paul will be on TV Thursday night, agreeing to join forces and knock off Boston's Big Three, Kobe and Pau and Wade and Bosh. That's why Paul talked LeBron into joining Twitter. They're best friends. Paul is going to save the King.
LeBron James is not stupid.
He's not going to appear on an hour-long TV special to take a dump on Cleveland by revealing he's the black Art Modell. That can't be his end-game strategy, a teary and televised middle-finger farewell to his hometown.

Makes sense to me

ehh today is the day, and im now confident he's saying buh bye to cleveland! sad, but we're troopers here in cleveland, and he can leave all he wants! just a little betrayed *tear* dumping cleveland on national TV for an *hour* special.

i just wish he would tell everyone, all this extra stuff is ridiculous, they're acting as if LBJ is running for president, and i cant believe the national spotlight he is getting in just choosing a new team.

like Orlando's coach van gundy said .. why does he need an hour special on TV when it only takes 15 sec to announce his decision, just enough to leave the rest of the time to make himself seem like God even more, smh. personally im over the whole "king" thing... he's 25 and people have blown his head up so much, and he has yet to even win a ring, he needs to stop blaming it on his team, and put some of the blame on himself. the funniest part is going to be when he leaves cleveland, and STILL doesn't win a ring!

So looks like he's coming to m.i ya yo I had a 4.5 hour discussion about this last night wit my very dear friend lol. We made a bet I hate the heat and since it appears that's where LBJ is going I told him after 5 consecutive championships I will let a heat jersey touch my skin and I will wear it. Not for long. But I will put it on for a day. Lmao 5 rings consecutively that is crazy...hmm

I agree bay his head is so big a fucking hour long charade tonight. Well we will know for sure tonight I am going to have an anxiety attack.

Just turned on my TV and it's all over ESPN that rumors have it he will go to the Heat. I still can't believe that he'll go on prime time TV and say the hell with you Cleveland in so many words. I guess he wants that ring and feels he has a chance with Wade and Bosh. That's some major egos that were put aside if that deal happens LBJ,Wade and Bosh with The Heat

I didn't think that LBJ could be so damn tacky to go on an hour long show and diss his old team. Becuse the above is exactly what he did. Cleveland and it's fans desserved better even with basketball being just "a business" as he put it. I'm not a Cleveland fan and never was however I do feel for them. I'm a LA Laker fan all the way. The only thing that came out good with this entire charade was the Girls and Boys Club getting the proceeds. That was just PR move while he disses his old team.

I so understand him wanting to move on and get a ring...It's just the way he did it. Caracter Counts!
BTW I'm not a Cleveland Cavaliers fan at all and never have been as stated in my above post.

A story from the LA Times

LeBron James looks neither royal nor loyal

The human news is that, almost overnight, one of basketball's most likable figures has turned into a complete jerk.
James has every right to use free agency to leave a place where he didn't feel he could win a championship. But he had no right to publicly humiliate his neighbors in the process.

And that is the moral of this story

Read here

I agree

Let his media PR blitz begin

i cant believe his unloyalty to his city and fans, for him to basically break up with us on national television, and seemingly have no worries about it. he's now not even being labeled like art modell but scottie pippen among many others names. cavs owner is heated, and sent out, what i believe to be, a very well written letter! im a die hard cavs fan, and i most definitely will buy a ticket to the first heat v cavs in cleveland, because us cleveland fans are crazy! just in spite in him, i hope he never wins a ring in his career now!

GO CAVS!
