Ever forget where he lives?

I guess cuz I'm not one of those girls that think it's super cool to be hooked up with a *gasp* convict, there's been many times where I've forgotten where he IS!! Like...even on the phone with him!!

A few days ago, I was telling him how horrible it was that our son had to be in the hospital for a week and since he's a young kid, he didn't understand anything and hated being there! I actually said to my man "you don't understand how it is to be somewhere where you totally don't wanna be, baby". Silence. Then, as only my cutie pie could, he said "well, that's true, baby ~ maybe you could describe it in detail so I could understand it a little better!!!"

*blush* grrrrr ~ I wish I could say this was the only time I've said something like that but....it's not!! what the?? anyone else do the same thing? *crosses her fingers and hopes she's not the only crazy crazy girl here*

At a recent visit I told R I don't get out much because of our 1 and 2 year old. He looked at me so serious and quietly said "neither do I" I felt like a knucklehead.

I think your right in what you said most people in prison make that choice to break the law and know that they can be arrested. So its too bad on him when it happens but don't think for a second that its not by choice. No one makes another go sell dope, rob someone, whatever. I understand what your saying and I don't for a minute doubt he'd rather be somewhere else NOW!! But he made his choice. But too answer your question yes sometimes I do forget and say something like that but I usually correct my self.

Even if I wanted to forget where he was, I don't think the DOC would ever let me. I'm pretty sure they use those annoying phone call recordings and the stamps on the outside of the envelopes, or the inspection notice slips inside the envelopes I receive to torture me with constant little reminders that he's not home.

Good point, ladies!!! Come to think of it, the only time I -do- forget where he is, I'm on the phone with him!!! Maybe hearing his voice takes me to a different place cuz I know for sure that as soon as I put that phone away, I'm left with all the reminders you brought up!!

Guess I really AM crazy crazy!!!

I had to take 1.5 weeks off work when my mom had her knee replacement leaving me to do a stay at home mom thing, which is not be at all, I love my kids but I"m a better mom when I have space lol. And I was like god baby I'm stuck inside or at the park or library all day I have nothing to say to you in the letters and I'm going stir crazy. He laughed at me and said well I wouldn't know nothing about being stuck inside and bored and stir crazy would I.
I do know what you are saying when I talk to him or read his letter it is like he is here and not there. But 9.99% of the time I remember where he is constantly.

No worriess..I've done it a couple times. One time I told him "Babe, you don't know what it's like having to go through each day without the only person that means everything to me...it f**king sucks!" and he just responded "well try having to go through every single day having to be without the center of my universe and the reason why my heart beats" I love that man so dang much!

I just keep catching myself saying "well if you were here..." Like he's just not in town right now, and i feel so bad when he says "trust me, I wish I could be there." I swear I don't do it on purpose.

lol...at least he was good humored about it I don't generally do things like that though I forget everything else! lol Being on the phone with him takes my mind off everything but him I totally get that!

In my phone it always asks me to save his number as a home, business, or cell phone. I always put business...I just can't call it his home.

I do the exact same thing. He only calls from one number now, but when he was in county, he would call me from 30 different telephone numbers. No lie. I saved all of them in my phone and put each and every number as a business.

Naw never. ironically i try to help him forget where his at through phone kalls visits and especially letters. He has told me many times the letter help him forget reality for a little while

I am always thinking about where he is, but sometimes words come out of my mouth so fast, I can't stop them...lol! One time he asked me how I was doing, I told him "ok, except my back is killing me cause the bed just wasn't comfy last night." And the moment I said that, I thought to myself "oh crap...here we go!" He responded to me "oh yeah, well try sleeping on a thin mat every night...and then see how your back feels in the morning!" I felt so bad
