Unhappy He was sentenced today

Today was really crazy. Its been on the docket (sept 15) for 6 weeks and the prosecutor handed down an indictment on another charge yesterday. The judge was pissed! He got so mad at the pros. he was bouncing in his chair yelling at him. Our side had the impression that we were going to delay sentencing so as to do it all at once, and the judge refused. So,,,, Bear got sentenced today for the revocation of parole and we get sentenced on the new charge in about 8 more weeks! The judge was sympathetic to us, but because its his 2nd revocation, he gave him 14 months, but took him off papers (no supervised release upon out date). The best we can hope for now is that come the new charge, he will only get 14 mo. on it too. That way no additional time added. He is going to run it concurrent. Stupid witch-hunt if you ask me.
Then the pros. had the nerve to insinuate that I am stupid for letting Bear into our lives to be used and he only is with us to use us as a "support family". OMG like he planned to violate parole when he met me?? He actually called me stupid. Glad the judge saw through it. I hope I can take the stand at the next sentence and put him in his place! Anyway, it was a long, unexpected day. We thought and were told by our attorney that Bear wasn't even going to court today. I found out by luck 30 min prior to being there.

Sorry to hear there was so much trouble with his sentencing...but atleast he'll be off paper that's great! Just try to hang in there girl and tell him to keep his head up and stay strong.

I know the day of sentencing is hard; I was a wreck when my husband got sentenced. Atleast the judge saw through the prosecutor, the prosecutor at my husband's trial basically said the same thing about me. I let it role off my shoulder since he didn't know anything about me. I hope the next sentencing is here and gone soon, and everything works out for you. Keep your head up!! Things will get better.

I am so sorry but glad you made it in time! I would've been livid also. I would've like to see a video of the judge yelling though. I wish you all the best of luck at the next hearing or hope they can reach a plea to make it run cc with the other. I would like to smack one of those pros for being cocky. I have gotten on my tangents before when a DA pops off something smart ass before.

Give them hell in court~
