Default How does Parole work?

Can anyone tell me how parole works? Like how soon can you ask for it and what's the process like? Thanks in advance!

It really depends on the sentence when it comes to getting parole. If your loved one is sentence to flat time then they get a good time credit of 15% for violent offenders not sentence to life if their sentence occurred after the flat time went into effect. We haven't made it to parole yet, so I don't know how it really works, but there are different levels of parole. PM if you have some specific questions.
