Default How long does it take you to write a letter?

I write 5-6 times a week and it takes me anywhere between 20 minutes to and hour.

How long does it take you to write a letter to your loved one?

Well generally I'll write for an hour to an hour and a half. Other times when I send him a card or a short letter, it's maybe 30 minutes. Just depends

When he first when to the county jail it took me all day. I would write something in the morning, afternoon, evening, and at night to say good night. That sounds dumb but we really needed each other at that time. But when he went to prison (DOC), the letter takes 20-40 minutes. If I am typing the letter 45 minutes but it is coming up to 6 pages front to back.

It takes me a little over an hour to get a good letter together, but I don't write everyday. Sometimes I write for a little for a few days at a time, and the time totaled is still over an hour. it would probably take me a little less time if I typed them because my thoughts are a little more fluid, but he doesn't like it when I type them, lol.

It takes me about six or seven hours to write a good letter. I have gotten in to the habit of writing one letter a week which I send out on a Monday morning. I then start the next letter on Monday evening and write an hour to an hour and a hlaf most days until I finish it off over the weekend.

I hate writing. So there are many times where it can take me days to write a letter. Thank God I'm able to visit fairly often and I can do what I love best......talk.

It all depends. About 2 hours and usually I get around 6 pages done. I send every letter in a card too. Some cards I make myself. I love to draw and he likes seeing my artwork I usually write him once or twice a week

OMG I'm horrible! I write out a quick card once a week right before I go to the post office to send the commisary money, usually less than 5 minutes. I do talk to him everyday and visit once a week.
But you know he is ADHD so he'd probally get bored with a long letter.

I write every day. During the week I'll write on and off from the time I get home from work till I go to sleep. My weekend letters are a lot longer and I write them through the day, all day I started writing every day cuz I wanted him to have something to read every day but with the crazy mail sometimes he'll get 5 or 6 letters on the same day. And I can't wait to hear what he has to say when he gets back to DOC (he's been in county for the last week) cuz I've still been writing every day. He's gonna have like 10 to 12 letters waiting for him. But, hey, at least it'll give him something to do since he goes back in the hole when he gets there!

We email back and forth more than sending snail mail. I know I spend about 3 hours a day total reading and writing email and He say's its about the same for Him. Plus talking at least every other day on the phone cuts into letter 'material'.

As far as writing a letter, I usually take a couple of days to write one. Seems they generally add up to being about 8 pages long. I dont lead a very exciting life so sometimes there's just not much to say on my end. He does love the letters that are about what went on around the house although I think they are very boring. I've been averaging about sending 1 card a week too. It just depends on when I find one that says how I'm feeling at the moment. Sometimes I send 2 in a week. I always try to space them out but if I have a couple really good ones on hand its hard to not send them.
Now when He's in the SHU its a lot different since I try to get out a letter a day. Its hard to keep up with His since He sends me like 13 pages front and back daily then. Thats when He hates Saturdays since He doesnt get any mail then.

How do you email him, Onlythelonely??

I write as much as I can.. while he was in transite and I couldn't send them I ended up with 20 some odd pages front and back lol. I will write him every lil thing because he's my best friend and when he was home I'd tell him every thought basically.. So I figure why stop now, right? lol. It's probably too much and gonna be killer to keep up, but for now it helps me stay connected

I like that "on strike" comment LadyBlackz, LOL, I have done that before also! But it usually will take me a couple of hours to write my letter it does not feel like that long when I am writing but when I will glance at the clock I see that time flies when you are engrossed in writing!!!

Sometimes it isn't that I have a lot to say, but I'm constantly stopping and starting throughout the day. I just keep Word open all day, and add stuff as I think it. That and he says some strange things that I have first thoughts on, but then I'll be folding laundry, or making dinner, and suddenly I'll get another thought on what he said, so I add that...

I write to my guy until I get tired. I'm not sure how long it takes me to write a letter because I write until I'm done talking. Sometimes it's all day, but never less than 10-15 pages on a legal pad. He want's to know EVERYTHING!...) LOL

Default I Love My Sunshine...

I have never wrote lengthy letters in my life like the ones I write to my Boyfriend... wheather they are typed on the computer or handwritten I have anywhere between 10 to 16 pages front and back and no line skipping either... top to bottom! It is the same for him but of course all of his are handwritten. He too wrote to me telling me, "Babie what have you've done to me? I have never wrote so much in my life! In the past I would only write 2 or maybe 4 pages, but with you I just can't stop writing and when I notice it, I am already on page 10!" So both of us are just crazy in love with eachother!!!
