Post HELP...Not sure who else to contact to get my husband moved??

My husband went back on a parole violation in August. He was in PRH (parole revocation holding) at Newton Correctional Facility until October 5 when he signed off and decided to finish out his time...he is done July 5. We thought he would be able to stay at NCF for the 8-9 months he has left but there is a guard at the correctional facility that doesn't want my husband there because his fiance is my husband's ex-wife. My husband does not even know this guy and could care less that he is with this woman...they have been split for 8 years! So it was decided that they would be moving him to Rockwell City. So I am going from having my husband 10 minutes away to 2 hours away which I have accepted. It is now 7 weeks since he signed off and he is still sitting in Newton but is on restriction which means that he can't go anywhere in the facility without a guard escorting him and the biggest problem is that we are not allowed contact visits because he is on restriction. He is not on restriction because of disciplinary actions just because of this guard.

I have done everything I can think of to get this expedited but nothing seems to be working. I have talked with his counselor, the warden, the security director and the deputy director of the DOC that is over offender transfers. He even put in a special visitation request to schedule a contact visit with him mom and I and they denied that. I don't know what else to do to get him moved...I like having him here but I really just want a hug and kiss from him! I have been looking at him through glass for 3 1/2 months and it is getting to both of us. If someone has a suggestion of who to contact I would really appreciate it!!!

Thank you in advance!!

Since you've already tried all the officialdom, the best suggestion is BREATHE! You can't make them do what they won't do, and you can't make a bed open in another prison. So, you gird your loins, you go for the glass visits, you write lots and lots of letters. You know there's an end in sight, so just allow it to come.

That's really no help as far as getting things done, I know. But it's going to keep you from stressing out worse than you have already, and that's the best alternative available. And he's effectively locked down, but the letters and cards from you and his mom will have to exercise his mind until he finally gets his freedom.
