I'd bet its leftovers from the Christmas *rush*
Plus probably vacations. Hopefully mail will pick up again soon (meaning it will start getting there a bit faster)

You are right on. I use to get the little calenders about 6in square, when closed, and send several to him to trade to others.

Hello everyone! HAPPY NEW YEAR......
I was wondering if anyone else had been having trouble receiving letters because I haven't received a letter from him for a little over a month now..... I send him stationery and stamps and he has money on his books. He always writes me...... any clues? Of course I still send him letters just so he knows he is still in my thoughts..... Thanks ladies!

P.S. he is due to transfer very soon but I called the mainline and they said he was still incarcerated there

I'm receiving letters in 4 days from the post mark but his mail is still kinda slow getting to him but no longer than a week. He is level 1, I don't know if they have different mail rooms per unit or not.

Yes each unit has their own mail room. A truck picks up the mail at the post office and delivers to each unit sorted by PO Box.

Has anyone else noticed level 1 mail being slower than normal? It took my husband 17 days to get a 1 page letter that I sent and still waiting for 2 more letters to arrive. Its not cool since the phones on level 1 are so up and down lately.

Between SUPER slow mail and broken phones, CCI sure makes it hard for you all to communicate with your men! Remind me again why I am in such a rush for my man to transfer there???

Red face Mail being slow

I just recieved a letter that my man wrote on 1-12-11. Mind you, I live in Ohio. But it still should not take ten days, and he has not recieved a letter that I wrote and sent on 1-11-11. I hope they get theirs soon!

Default Mail for shu

Hi Ladies

Is anybody's other half having slow mail getting to them in the shu? My friend has written me that he hasn't received a letter off me since the 2 Jan, his letter was dated 17th Jan. The letters are mailed on Neveda

he seems to think somebody is messing and holding his mail. I called the mail room but they said there were no delays, no more than normal.

Can anybody tell me if when the mail room open the letters that they then tape them up again? my friend is saying he gets his letters that the tape is undone, he thinks something is amiss when it gets to the block.

Is there anything i can do or anyone i can speak to, i don't want to make waves here but he is really thinking allsorts here and that is not good for him especially being locked up in the shu.

Any advice would be welcomed.

thanks

Title 15 really doesn't have a lot of useful info on this subject so I asked.
No greater than 12 x 12 (though I'd definitely go smaller as you never know) - no metal, that includes staples.
Those that are soft book bound are best. Syliva's suggestion even better.
