Supposly the prison has an agreement wit the town tht the Parolees won't stop in Tehachapi...its kinda dumb but at the same time who wants to spend time there, the first thing u wanna do is leave tht place and never look back!

You don't have to send dress outs the guys just like to get out in regular clothes but yes they will parole them in there sweats.

You can send 1 pair of socks, I pair of boxers, a shirt, pants or shorts, a jacket/sweatshirt, a pair of shoes and a hat. NO belt (take and leave that in the car if you are picking him up and he wants one)
The size of the box doesn't matter I don't think I just used the flat rate box at the postoffice (smallest size I could get it all in, I didn't need to send shoes)
Write on ALL sides DRESSOUTS and mail to his regular address.

You can send a belt, I sent one to my son. Be sure to remove tags from all new clothes. Do not put anything else in the box besides the one set of clothes or they will send everything back. No money no letter nothing.

According to my Man we were suppose to send the dress outs 30- 45 days before his release date, and yeah it can be his clothes from the house and if u send new clothes just make sure to take the tags off.

Don't know about release and the lockdown but high control getting out on a Friday is up to the PO. My best friend was released on a Saturday (he was HC) and his PO just told us to call on the Wednesday before he was due to get out and and she would know for sure.

Lockdowns do not affect a persons release. They still get to go home.l

Unless they are directly involved in the cause of the lockdown.

Tehachapi is a prison town. Employees live, shop, etc locally.
Do you really want to run into a familiar face to your husband?

Both Mojave and Bakersfield are real close and worth the drive.

No doubt one's spouse may be more relaxed a little farther away.

Rumor control: Verified at the IFC meeting on Jan 21st:

There is no regulation that parolees cannot stop in the town of Tehachapi after release.

Bring his ID with you when you pick him up.
He won't need it until he is actually out the door and in your car anyway.

Can someone tell me what happens to my mans dress-outs if they put a hold on him at the last minute?
