yes you can i sent a hat and belt to mines you can call r&r and they will give you a list of things that you can send him. also when you send it make sure to write dress outs on all sides of box, plus you send it to him like your sendin him a letter.. so you put his housing and such on it..

Cissk provides a good time.

Visiting center doors do not actually open until 7:45, however officers are on hand and start checking on visitors outside the center at 7:15 as that is when the first appointment visitors have to be there.....when officers come out, they will ask if anyone is there to pick up parolees. Bottom line, it is far better to be early than late.

the love of my life gets out on july 23rd, and I'm driving up the day before. Where or what gate do I go to to pick him up, and where on this site can I go to see if any one needs a ride there the same day that I go.

No gate. At CCI you check in at the visiting center and you can wait inside the lobby until they bring him out if you want.

I was under the impression that only inmates of certain crimes were picked up by the po. Who told you that because he is in SHU the po has to pick him up?

So sorry to hear of your additional frustration on a day that already has the nerves going. I tried to call too, but didn't get an answer.
I'd really like to know how it went and hope your reunion was great in spite of the bumps.

thankyou for the support, so lets see, i didnt end up talking to his counselor but i tried calling the prison again a couple days before because i was still nervous that nothing was positive, so then they told me they had moved him to lancaster prison so thats when i knew "ok, yeah, the p.o should really be picking him up then" so then, the day of, i got up really early to be prepared..well my guy must have been worried i already drove the day before to get him so a nice lady called me from lancaster and relyed the messege that his p.o would pick him up...so i was still nervouse because i didnt know if he would bring him all the way home or not. so finally around 1:55, his p.o called me and said they are at the parole office and if i would like to pick my guy up..i said "sure" and i drove to the parole office in moreno valley and picked him up...sorry the story is long...thanks again for helping with my questions

regrettably no they can't. Security issues for the releasing inmates safety in addition to the privacy act safeguards. have you tried calling his PO or going down to the office (some will talk on the phone, others will not)?

Hello Ladies! My husband is coming home on July 2...So Happy! But first, I want to share my story and experience with this anxiety we all go thru prior to release date and the the whole parole conditions deal. I got a called at exactly 2 weeks prior to release date, Parole Officer called me on saturday evening around 8pm, I missed the call, then got a call from the same number on the following Monday, this is when I realized the same number from Saturday evening..(anyways, call me a looser I been waiting for my husband to come home for a year, last time I saw him was on 10/20/2010 and then no more communication, i was not approve for visits and my only way to communicate was via writing letters, by April of this year silence was broken and we were finally able to speak via telphone, so yes, i am looser and pretty much spent my time watchin tv, not much communication with other people, just close family LOL!) Going back to my issue with parole conditions, got a call on monday and after verifying the home address, Mr.Parole realized that I was a co-def. on the case and that we had a dv case from 2006, he went to prision for a different charge, bottom line is a "NO CONTACT ORDER:, OMG!!! I was up set and sad..While waiting for my husband to come back from prision, I enrolled my self in school and took a paralegal course, I am on unemployment and the state gave me a special trainning grant, so I took advantage and been going to school since 1/2011, I will complete and have a paralegal certificate by 9/2011. Anyways, as you all can imagine I have learn alot about legal proceedings, research and criminal procedures, etc... So, I reacted to the parole officer on the spot, and said, you can't do this, we are married, how can you prevent me to be with my husband, it is unconstitutional etc...So, he got a bit nervoous, and said well then come down to our office and you can speak with my Supervisor, i don't have time to discuss this matter with you, he was really mean and rude, so the very next day, I put my attorney thinking hat! went over there and got all suit up and ready to met "the supervisor", I spent an houur and 15 minutes talking to the supervisor. To my surprise she was extremelly nice, and she asked what was going on, she got his file, reviewed it, and bottom line I said: "i am here, because I want to bring my husband home", I have not have sex for more than ayear" it was funny but she was pretty serious... I provided a copy of my marriage license and the papers from the court that showed that i was convicted of a misd.,showed her I was no longer on probation(I got probation summary for 6 mos.), and she said she will review and get back to me until Monday. WELL, happy to share with all of you that today Saturday at exactly 8am, my wake up call was from parole agent and he said: "You all can live together", I was so happy!!!! Now, I am waiting for his call and looking forward to a fresh start. It's been confirmed, his release date is 7/2 and we will go to see his PO on 7/5. I think PO are train to be mean, but if you present the facts and find a good way to communicate with them, they will listen and help you. Be proactive, stay informed and don't loose hope. By far this site is the number#1 choice for the most up to date information. I am planning on on going to the prision to pick up my husband on 7/2, will be there by 7am, at the visiting center, I know these information because of this site. I must indicate to all of you that regradles of our race, ethnicity or religion(south siders, paisas, the whites, the other etc...) on this site we all share one common denominator, and that is: We all have a loved one in prision, and we all share our happiness and sadness via this website. Thank you!!!

SHAKIRA2010 Thank you for sharing your experience.

Especially appreciate the part I excerpted above. Great advice. Reseach along with a good presentation of facts and calm demeaner will get a person so much farther along than a confrontational approach.

And again....stand strong, never give up.

Best wishes for a new start for you and your husband.
