Does any one else have a visit today and they told them to be checked in by 11?

No, I have contact visits now... When I did have behind glass visits, my appointment was for 12:00, so I had to be there by 11:00

I had visitation on Sunday. Got to meet officer Harper. Funny guy. It was a strange trip, as I felt like I was on a field trip. Seeing all the inmates was so sad. And this behind glass thing is bs. Who makes these rules? I'm not bashing, but what would it hurt to give them full contact visits? My sweetie loked healthy and rested, so that is good. But I was an anxious mess. I wanted to bawl my eyes out, but he kept trying to make me laugh. Don't think I'm gonna do the drive again, I feel whooped today. Anyone else feel exhausted after visitation?

Yes, Officer Harper is a funny guy.. I was there on Sunday too visiting with my husband on a contact visit.. Visitation can be very tiring, but I try to visit as often as I can, just to get my hubby out of the dorm..

Hi there confused 209. Z Dorm sounds very familiar to me because that's where my husband is housed.
Z Dorm is not in any wing. It's the gym on mainline.

Red face Visiting

I've got some questions for you ladies. My husband is transfering to Tracy and I need to know if he's on mainline and not in reception or adseg, can I still make an appointment to see him or so i have to do a walkin? How often visits normally last and do they do terminations? How often can you receive family visits? Any help would be really appreciated.

Hi Joe's Angelique
I wasn't sure how to answer your question, so I got some assistance myself from another staff member..

What she told me was:
If he is transfering more then likely he will be in oreintation therefore you would have to make a appointment. Since he's not in adseg you may be able to get a full visit the worst would be a one hour non-contact. I'm sure family visits will follow once he get's settle. You shouldnt have to re-apply.
I hope this answers some or all of your questions, but feel free to post or pm me if you have any other questions, and I will be glad to assist you in anyway I can..
Have a great day~

Well at Solalno, I email the apointment request on Monday at 4 am two weeks ahead of time. Our visits tend to last about 3 hours then we get terminated, due to too many people in the visiting room. If you don't make an appointment you can walk-in and wait til noon to visit. We get family visits every 90 days for 2 days. I need to know if it will be the same or how it will be different?

Joe's Angelique, at DVI if you have a non-contact visit, you would email Monday morning 7-9 am for a Saturday visit, and Tuesday morning 7-9 am for a Sunday visit. I've never seen DVI's visiting room get so crowded, that they have to ask family's to leave, and I've been visiting since May of this year.

If you don't make an appointment, and your inmate is not on the mainline, then you don't get to visit.

On the last day of your family visit, the family visit coordinator will call you on the phone, and ask you would you like to go out on the next available date? If that's what you choose, then he'll give you the first available next date. That date can be as close as two months away. Currently the Family visits here are from Saturday -Monday
I hope I was able to answer some or all of your questions, if not feel free to post them here, or pm me..
Have a great day~

Thank you. But I'm confused. Can you or can you not make an appointment for the mainline visits?

Sorry, I just posted this in the chit chat post
OK, Very frustrated here! DVI gives me the run around when I am trying to locate my husband. He just transferred there yesterday and I wanted to see if I could visit him. First they said he wasn't there, then I called the previous prison they said he left for DVI yesterday. SOOOOOO I called DVI back and told them once again that he is there and I would like to know if I could visit him this weekend, the lady told me that if he is there, since he is not in the computer yet, that I would have to wait for my husband to send me a new visiting package before I can visit him there(standard rules?). My husband has transferred before and I have not encountered this problem at all. He has been in for 12 years and I have visited him in the past. So what is the deal with DVI? I am angry about this, I haven't seen him in over 2 months and I am going crazy!

Dvi has a house on the parking lot where they have appropriate clothing and they provide babysitting. You are allowed to wear sweats but here is the extension for visiting where you can ask clothing specifics. # 5702 & #5706.

Getting thru is so freaking hard. Twice I tried to call with no luck the whole two hours and if it did ring no one answered even though he's probably still on lock down. Man and he's leaving soon. I'm not gonna be able to see him till???? Just missing him so much.
