Unhappy Still waiting to be approved

It's been about 6 weeks and I'm still waiting to be approved to see my fiancee. He told me to check online to see if I was approved yet so I'm assuming he doesn't know what he is talking about since he is the one that is supposed to inform me. Can he check and see if they ever got the form or is this all just a waiting game? I'm getting really frustrated.

Hi Carmen, you're right. It is his responsibility to inform you.
Try calling the visiting department, and ask if they've recieved your visiting application because it's been 6 weeks since you've sent it in. Hopefully they will be able to tell you how long much longer it will be.

My husband just called me and said that we got our visiting approval approved. It has been 4 weeks exactly. I hate to say this to you Carmen but, if you haven't got yours back yet, maybe you should send another right away. Did your fiancee sign the application before you filled it out? If not then he will need to send you a signed copy to fill out again. That could be what is taking so long. I really do hope you get some good news soon..

Hi, I have some extensions that you can try.. I'm not positive that someone will answer though..(209) 835-4141 Exts.. 5705, 5702, and 5706.. If no one answers, Try leaving a message for the visiting Lt. He will call you back.

Geez you're lucky. Yeah he signed it and i filled everything out and sent it right back. my record is squeaky clean so there should be no reason I wouldn't get approved I will continue to try.

Smile Set my appointment... help!

So I get to see him Sunday & I just don't want to mess this up since I haven't got to see him in over two months...

Should I arrive an hour early for the visit to get checked in?

I am going to wear a black long sleeve completely covered, gray pants and black flats so is that okay?

Will I see the visitation center as I drive up to DVI and do I just walk in?

I get lost really easy and then I panic so I just want to make sure I get everything correct before I show up.

THANKS!!!!

PS. Just have my ID and car key on me right?

Hi Carmen.. All of the info you posted sounds good..
Black is always a great choice when visiting at a prison...
Yes you will see the visiting center on your left as you drive to the prison.
Your attire sounds fine..
You should arrive 45 minutes to an hour before your scheduled visit..
Yes make sure you bring your ID and your car key..
I hope you have great visit..

Hi jay's grl..
When my husband was at DVI, I've seen ladies wear top with designs and wording.. I've always worn plain tops, so they won't have a reason to make me change..You can wear boots or high heels.. You will be asked to take them off before you go through the metal detector..

I wanted to know if I go to visit him on saturday how many people can come with me and does that include children? ... I know I don't have to make an appointment so do I just walk to the front and say I have a contact visit??

Hi TommyzWife..
I'll try and answer your question as best as I can..
Your husband was transferred from another prison to DVI right? If so then yes, he'll be on mainline, which doesn't require an appointment.. The people that can come visit with you, are the ones that are approved visitors.. If your children were included on his visiting form, then yes, they can come with you.
The visiting center will be to your left when you come to the end of the driveway..
You'll fill out the two visiting slips, and bring your ID.. Note: Not all visiting infomation follows an inmate, so call to make sure you're in their computer as an approved visitor. If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask..
I hope you have a wonderful visit...

I've seen 5 ppl at a time visit one inmate.. If there's not enough space in the visiting room, some family members and or visitor, take turns visiting..
