Default Freshly convicted of F4 aggravated assault. Probation likelihood?

I was just convicted of F4 aggravated assault. Went to jury trial and was deemed not guilty of felonious assault but guilty of the lesser charge, after the jury hung for 5 hours. After the verdict, the prosecutor, Jack Wong(hope you never get this guy as your prosecutor), tried to revoke my bail, but, luckily, the judge denied.

My lawyer filed for a pre-sentencing investigation and have a hearing for that on March 3rd. My lawyer and the women in the probation department both say that i should get probation if I have no other charges in my past. What do you guys think? Anybody been in my situation before and been surprised at the last minute?
