I'd love to see my nephew more often. We've failed him as a youngster, now he has nobody but me.

Well considering what you wrote about hugs and kisses being taken away in another thread, all I can say is... poor him.

I would love to help because I feel like lifers need the visits more than we do. I was thankful for my family visits because it let my hubby reconnect with us without getting yelled at not to touch his wife. Lifers for sure need that love and support I think it is crazy that they do not get them....

Default Restore Family Visits Info/ New Video!!!

Good Morning PTO Members

I created a sticky for Restoring Cali Family Visits. I will post new information as it becomes available and will keep you informed to any upcoming meetings/conference. I just created a new video on our Inniative

Our goal is to restore the family visits that were taken in 1996, we only what was taken to be restored.

We are also asking that family visits be paid for by families and a portion of the money given back to CDCr, the victims and re-entry programs...

We feel this way it could be a win win situation...

We are approaching the CDCr with our thoughts and setting up a meeting with them in March...

I was recently told that there was something on TV (i did not see it), that said the Governer is giving family visits back to lifers. I looked on here, but see nothing about it. I wonder what that was all about???????????????? Anyone hear anything?

Please count me to help in anyway. Please keep me posted on future ways to help. I believe that all visits are a great thing. I feel it would help cut down on the problems inside and the children outside. If the children could talk to the parent inside in a more home like setting then maybe it would cut down on them getting into trouble. In my prayers for this to become a reality!!!
