I wear astigmatic contacts which are a PIA because they move around and when they do your vision becomes odd! Like the others have said, I am too scared for lasik

I had LASIK around ten years ago, when it first came out and haven't looked back since. I had no complications such as dry eyes & was laying on the couch watching a movie that evening after having it done.I had pretty bad eyesight, if i remember right my contact lense script was something like -6. Even better news is that I still have no change in my eyesight. It was the best money spent. Go for it, you won't regret it!

No, not at all, there is A LOT of technology that goes into it and the amount they are cutting into your cornea is microns. I actually have a VHS tape of it being done, about 5 minutes top each eye. They use some sort of suction on your eyeball to keep in place and you are told to focus on this red dot that is in your line of vision, it's really hard to move your eye and if you do the laser shuts down immediatly. I could literally see right after the procedure, I mean, as I sat up from the chair, it was the craziest thing.

Do it! Do it! Do it!

i have the worst eyesight EVER! Without my glassses or contacts i cant see anything. i want lasik sooo bad, if i could afford it i definately would! contacts are so annoying, i can always feel somethin in my eye (which contacts makes the feeling worse) or theyre just always really dry! and my glasses are always fallin off, my boyfriend makes fun of me, he thinks its sooo cute when i crunch my nose trying to keep my glasses up lol

From the amount of years I been in front of the monitor screen, I'm surprised my eyes r as fair as they r. I kno within age i will eventually need glasses. @ night my vision is slightly blurry cuz the signs r not 100% clear to me, tho it's clear enuff to read wen I get close enuff distance. If i had the money, I would definitly get lasik surgery done. My dad has had it done a long time ago & it's done a lotta good 4 him. He's 76 yrs old & just had another surgery done on 1 of his eyes. I wouldn't want to use contacts 4 I know the risks of irritations & stress they can cause on eyeballs. If i'm just needing glasses for 'reading' then regular glasses I don't mind wearing. I think lasik is a way to go.

I wear contacts most of the time when I'm outside. I do wear my glasses in the house @nite. I'm afraid of Lasik.

I wear glasses because I can't wear contacts. I've had 3 eye surgeries on my right eye and one laser procedure on the same eye...plus steriod shot right into that eye as well. LOL, makes Lasik look like a breeze. And since those surgeries, the last of which I have a implant in my eye, I can't get contacts. What sucks is that it's just one eye that is messed up...I'm so used to my glasses tho...it's funny my nephew gets all worked up when I don't have them on...he'll keep telling me to put my glasses back on.

Default Contacts and Glasses ...

I couldn't vote properly due to there not being an option for both! I wear glasses at home, and contacts when I go out.

I wear reading glasses, I am too vain to get real glasses even though I know I need them.
