OKLAHOMA CITY (Reuters) - Inmates from California held in a private prison in western Oklahoma rioted on Tuesday and at least 10 inmates were sent to hospitals, some of them critically injured, authorities said.

Fights broke out in several parts of the North Fork Correctional Facility in Sayre, Oklahoma, shortly before noon, authorities said.

I saw the video on CNN & it doesn't look as bad as RRCC riot i saw in December. I think RRCC alone went on LD so hopefully RRCC will be back to normal tomorrow. I think RRCC had more injuries.

I must agree with Luisiana...lets all think positive...tomorrow will be a better day. Hopefully its a quick one afterall it didn't even happen in RR. They are probably just trying to find another lame reason to keep RR on LD for longer, but lets stay positive. I dont see this lasting very long.

We need to focus on the positive so we don't stress out. Let's keep the injured inmates & their family in our prayers. On the bright side according to 1 of the articles no staff was hurt, so we can't be on LD that long. The RRCC LD in December only lasted a month. LET'S STAY POSITIVE.

I just got off the phone with a Co that answered the visiting line at RR and he confirmed that CA has requested that all COSF inmates be locked down because of an "incident" at another facility to make sure it was an isolated incident. Its not always RR that are the aholes..CA always have been and in the long run CCA has to do what CA says when they say. No indication on how long so we will wait (like we always do) but thank GOD nothing happened at RR and all of our famly at RR is ok and safe.

pretty much as MRS DMG said they are taking precautions for the safety of the inmates. G unit is still the only unit with no visits. Let us be thankful that it wasn't RRCC & that our loved ones are safe. I was with my husband during last year's riot but I don't think I can handle it if something happened & I wasn't with him.

Mississippi is on LD too ladies...looks like they're doing the same thing they did when they locked all the CCA prisons down a couple years ago because of whatever happened in MS.

I think it's... California Out of State Correctional Facilities (COCF)

COCF is a unit within the Division of Adult Institutions whose mission is to transfer inmates out of state for the purpose of temporarily alleviating overcrowding within existing institutions.

G unit as whole is not on LD. I was just there. Only southern hispanics in that unit are on LD

well before this big LD they werent. Right now everyone is. But yeah, the visiting machine says G unit but if you talk to a CO they will tell you only southern hispanics
