Yes here in oregon, they are now passing a law that will charge their earnings 5% as well as any monies deposited into their trust accounts a 5% tax.

Not so much a "tax" but a "service fee", like all the banks are suddenly charging...5% of ALL INCOMING money. GRRRR!

How long did it take for him to get his TV? My husband just got the receipt for his TV order and I was curious how much longer til he has it. He is at TRCI also. Thanks!

The "5%" fee has not gone into effect. The bill passed says the DOC can charge "up to 5%" as a fee. The DOC would have to create an Administrative Rule first about it and decide on the actual fee. So nothing in effect yet.

That is good news. Mine just got his TV last week. It took just a few days for it to arrive, then he had to kyte for the cables to plug it in. Yesterday he was playfully griping about the cable line up change. I told him that just because he and the other guys like to watch Spike, etc., doesn't mean the ladies in Coffee Creek do. Something for everyone. He laughed saying these channels had been there for ages, he landed just in time for them to take away the good channels and porn.
