I'm a bird lover in every sense of the word. This is a picture of my Green Aracari Toucan, Bella. She's almost 2 years old and is completely amazing. Completely messy (as most birds are) but amazing. I let her out in the evenings and she flies around my apartment looking for things to "steal" like pens, pencils, and small shiny things. She tried to fly off with a sandwich bag filled with Doritos the other day. ~lol~ I'm also slave to a beautiful male Spectacled Parrotlet named Julian.

she is gorgeous! - and from what i hear, a parrotlet NEEDS a slave.

(i serve a sun conure & a goffin's 'too, as well as 9 cats.)

Parrotlets are Amazons in pint size bodies. They're very fiesty for such small birds. ~lol~ I'd love to have a Gallah if I had room for one.

Wow! I didn't know that toucans are kept as pets at all! And I always thought the feathers of toucans are black and that toucans are colorful just at the beak and close to the beak and/or around the eyes. I've never seen such a colorful one, not even at a photo or on tv! And I've also never heard of any bird which is so tame that you can let it fly free outside the building every day and it comes back home at free choice every time. *stunned*
