Hi to all and first let me say this is a very formative site. I read a lot about it before I joined..a lot of folks had a lot of good things to say. K...here goes...I am out of jail awaiting sentencing in Las Vegas Nevada. My Attorney says it is possible I will do 3-4 years and maybe probabtion..he is looking for a plea bargain but has told me not to get to hopeful. I am so scared. Mostly because I have no idea what I am facing. Can anyone tell me anything about the Womens Prisions in Nevada? Also..if I have a "surrender" date..and am taken to the prison..am I allowed to take an address book..or even just a piece of paper with my relatives phone numbers and addresses? I am 60 years old and my memory is pretty bad..I am so afraid I wont remember the addresses of my family so I can write to them.

What exactly do they allow you to take in when you surrender yourself?
I would appreciate any help on what I am facing when I go in.

Personally I don't know the answers to those questions BUT if you click on this link, Nevada I hope your questions can be better answered. Everyone I have ever known inside is allowed an address book (or has entered with some addresses) so I hope this to be the case for you too.

I wonder because of your age, if it makes any difference? I dunno, it just makes me wonder is all.
Anyways, as mentioned above, there is a topic for your state, so hopefully you can find all the answers you need in there. As Im from NZ I really have no idea how things work over there, so Im also not able to answer any of your questions.
I do know that when my man went to prison, he was able to take in a few things, addresses being one of them.
