How long before he is able to get his phone list approved?

My boyfriend got arrested two weeks ago and the only thing I've heard from him is a letter. Does it usually take this long for the phone list to go through?

I think it depends on the facility, how many guys are being processed, and a number of other factors such as staff vacations, etc. I was in your position quite a while ago, but i think it took a couple weeks. They need to make sure that he's not trying to add a witness or a victim, etc, to his list. In the state joints, i think the IPS run the checks, and they can move very slow.
