Default CRC Visitation for Inmates awaiting Transfer

CRC website have posted visitation hours M-F based on last digit of inmate number-
Then they have Saturday and Sunday visit hours for Cadre and short term inmates.

Question #1:
COLOR="DarkOrange"]For new arrivals awaiting transfer to another more perm. institution- when would their visitation be? Monday - Friday based on Inmate number or Saturday or Sunday?

Per specific institution guidelines for visitation- I am confused as to getting a visit approved. Which leads me to my next question:

Question #2:
While I read in one place where it says to send visitation packet into the institution and they will notify the inmate upon the approval of visitors ( expect a wait of approx. 3 weeks) then I read where it says for visitors to bring paperwork with them on their first visit, with all documentation, and announce yourself as a first time visitor upon arrival so that paperwork can be processed then? I have either 1 day to figure this out so I can visit my son tomorrow- or 2 days so I can visit him this weekend. Can anyone help a mother out?

Question #3:
I have an 8 year old daughter that I am really not wanting to take to the institution with me for first time visit- since I'm not certain what to expect- but in the event I am unable to get her no good father to take her- and have to take her with me- what is the likely hood that they will deny the visit for bringing a minor with me ( I am aware I will need to have more paperwork for her as well- but that won't be a problem since I'm the custodial parent)

Question #4:

My son also has a cousin and a friend that were also co-defendants as well- they may or may not all go to the same institutions- I am not sure how that goes. I would like to write to his friend- just to show some moral support because I understand he has absolutely no support from his own mother- no mail, no phone calls and no visits and I feel badly for him- I would also like to be able to visit my nephew from time to time as well ( he just turned 18 and I think this experience is having an especially traumatic affect on his mental health) How does the fact that nephew is also co-defendant affect my ability to visit- and would I need to submit a separate visitation form for him as well?

Best of Luck to All,
~ K~

Question 1- yes it will go by inmate number and the day of the week.
Question 2- For your first visit bring your son's birth cert and your id and the packet and you will be fine.
Question 3-you can take her in with you just have her birth cert also.. im pretty sure she doesnt have to be on the list though but i am not sure.. you may need to call about that. but kids are there all the time and its not too bad when they are there crc is pretty calm for the most part.
Question 4-You cannot visit both at the same time so you will be ok with visiting the other family member. You will have to be on his visitors list before you can see him though. As long as they have no direct or indirect contact with one another you are fine.

*Hope this helps*
