Do you believe in ghosts and demons?

I will say this....The house I live in was built in 1953. I have been here since 2008.

There was a couple that lived here for 40 yrs straight...and the house looks fantastic....it is like a step back in time, all original 1950s woodwork and pink bathroom. I always think they are here with me (they are passed) and that is OK with me.

Anyways, my teen son, he is a handful. He got into having seances with his friends at their house and he told me that they had stirred up some unpleasant things.

And my son and my hubby were into all the time with fighting and negative energy.

When the negative energy in my house gets high, my house starts making sounds. One sound will come from the back of the house and it sounds like someone slapping their hand on the wall...bam...real quick when no one is back there.

Another is in the kitchen, it sound like someone rattling and scrunching up a plastic bread bag or grocery store bag.

One time the weird sounds got so bad, I actually moved my favorite chair so I could have my back to the wall. Felt and heard things behind me all the time.

Since, all the negative has left my house, as both son and hubby gone....the house is silent.

I think negative energy pulls negative things to you.

Well…believe it or not there’s actually something out there more scary and horrific than a ghost or a demon. It’s called a parole officer and unfortunately I had to go see her today. Yeah buddy…and may the force be with me.

ghosts? not that much. demons? absolutely. demons are the minions of satan. just like believing in a hell.

I'm glad you guys answered me.
I moved into this house not long ago and sometimes bizarre stuff seems to happen. I had a unit put on the house for refrigerated air so I know there are not drafts going on to make the doors slam upstairs when I am totally alone in the house. I also have a security system so I know no one is coming in the windows or doors to mess with me. It just kind of creeps me out. It's not like I am hearing "GET OUT" because I would only have to hear that once...but it messes with me to feel like I am not alone in my house and at times it makes the hair on the back of my neck stands up and I get goosebumps.
I wonder if I need to have my house blessed or someone to cast out the demons. I feel nutty even talking about it.

It's not nutty at all! I live in a big old house built in the 1800's and things like that happen here all the time. At first it gave me the heebie geebie's but I've gotten used to it, been here about 16 years. I don't know anything about blessing a house but a friend of mine burns sage, she says it helps?

ghost well not in the sense of Casper ,we're dealing with a Demonic being as I write and the more we dive into scripture the more of a threat we become to the demonic realm and we must learn spiritual warfare very quickly and who's covering we're under and why..
Knowing that we have dominion over these beings and therefore can rebuke them at any time is important to know as well as the reason doors are being opened for them to come in ..
I've been and studied delivery ministry and there are a few sites I might suggest if anyone is interested..

My Mom lives in an 1870's ranch house she bought and fixed up on the cheap. The last English family heir passed away in the '50s. A family moved in who continued to live there through the 1960's. The children would be chased from the upstairs bedroom by what people say is Old Man English. They came to the house to talk about it. I think it was disclosed as haunted when Mom purchased it. She hears things and has things happen. He never seemed to mind us, maybe because we were always fixing things.

The upstairs has a stairwell that goes down to a first floor doorway. The night before I had prayed,"you know God, if it is just a ghost, not a demon, and he just wants to live in his house, that's his choice. We don't mind. But if he wants to go over to the other side, let him choose. I had never heard the ghost, but Jesus once explained he wasn't a ghost. :-)

The next day while my wife and I watched TV as I heard someone's footsteps go all the way down the stairs, I didn't think much about it until I peaked over the railing while watching TV and saw nobody there and the door closed.

Ghosts: I don't know. Demons: Darn skippy I believe they exist. I don't go anywhere near horoscopes, Ouija boards, fortunetelling, witchcraft or anything similar. The Louvin Brothers express it well in this song:

Heck yes I do... I started seeing what I now know are demons when I was about 10 they would come in my room and stand in the corner or they would shake my bed... I did not see my first ghost until I was 13 and it was my grandmother and the other time it was my dads girlfriend

By ghosts, if you mean people who have died and "can't cross over " or loved ones who have died and now watch over us, no, I don't believe that. The Word says that there is a great chasm between them and us and no one can cross over (Luke) 19:26).
Demons,. ABSOLUTELY! The Word also says that just as God has angels to minister to us, Satan has his demons to keep Christians ineffective (hence spiritual warfare) and to keep those who don't know Christ "in the dark. "

Yes I do believe in spirits, and demons. I have dealt with both. I am not one to deal easily with the supernatural and it terrifies me. I have much respect for what is roaming this earth.
I also believe there are people among us who can actually see the unseen. I know for myself I have watch my sink turn on by itself, I have watched my fridge move two feet away from the wall in my sight, and I have felt the presence of something evil more than I would like to discuss. Yes, they exist, you can take them with you when you move, they can be attached to you, or a house or a thing.
I am a christian minister and I belive, You simply can not believe in heaven and not hell, good and not bad. Sometimes we can not let go of someone who died and they need us to let them go. We can keep them bound here. Yes, it is possible.

Slayer to come to your house and cast them out. You can't play with no demons honeys. If you don't have a church home just know that you have the power to cast them out. Just call on jesus. In the good book it tells us that we have the power, and even demon have to bow down to jesus.just call on his name they will leave.

I believe in the scientific idea that even when people are gone they can leave behind energies. I don't believe in "demons" unless its just the physical energies of a very evil person. I think the idea of ghosts and demons were created by religious nut jobs to convince people to believe in their religious ideals.

My family and I once lived in a house where all past families ended up getting a divorce and moving out. That’s what our neighbors told us but we tried to ignore it. I can honestly say that the time living in that house, my parents were pushed to the max by each other, separated and nearly divorced, until we moved into a different house. There were definitely some distressed spirits in that house.

When i was little i would go to bed & refuse to open my eyes i told my mom there was a man at the end of my bed with a cowboy hat on. Fast forward 20yrs my grandfather moved into my parents house in my old room he would start yelling at someone in that corner take your hat off your in the house he would get so upset that the "man wouldn't speak or remove his hat". 3yrs after he died we moved back into my parents my 1yr old would talk to someone in that same room & corner...i don't know what it was but i was never afraid i know that
