Nowhere but Texas...No One but me

Howdy Texans.... I've been away for a while for various reasons; first I work at Parkland Hospital and the government is on the verge of with holding funds b/c of non-compliance in area's that us Nurses have been on them to correct and improve for years; TRANSLATION: I'm working my a$$ off. I work the weekend option but I'm doing hours and DAYS of overtime and since I'm a Pit Boss or E. R. Nurse-Manager its mandatory!
The other reason I've been away is what I'm here to share...Big Poppa was released on Jan.24th and he's been a very busy guy. We found out five weeks ago that Big Poppa will soon be NEW Poppa b/c his wife/lady/ woman/Stuff is a little pregnant. Yep, that would be me and how it happened I don't know but its not something I planned or even wanted to think about. Dang I'm almost 43 years old and I'm a Stripper (in my dreams anyway) we have two grand-kids so no this was not on my list of things to do. Babies only come in 2 flavors boys and girls and I already have one of each so why would I do this again? I love Mocha Lattes and now the smell of them makes me... you don't even want to know. I've been thinking about Alonzo constantly, especially while he's asleep. I'm thinking castration, I could super glue his eyelids open and grab my flashlight, the BIG one, but he's so frigging happy that I just can't. Now I knew this *situation* would change ME, I mean we are both gonna be parents but the kid is actually inside of ME right but HE is acting sooooo weird, even for him. Texans, no joke I drove home Saturday to find a "We're Pregnant" banner hanging across the front of my home and he keeps touching my stomach like he expects it to do something; its just weird. He called home a few minutes ago and when I said "hello" he says Good Morning Baby Mama! I hung up, thought it was a wrong number, that is not my name BUT it is my title so I must admit I'm happy too.

Awwww Marcia I am so happy for the both of yall.....I must say I miss your posts on here so entertaining but I have chills right now thinking of whats to come. It is a blessing and Im glad things are working out for the best.....CONGRATS!!!!! please keep us updated on your journey with the new baby and once again Congratulations!!

Yup, this was my first reaction when I read the lady that swore it would NOT happen is making Lonzo a NEW Poppa! But aaaawwww...CONGRATS Marcia!! And no, I'm not laughing at you...I'm laughing with you! HUGS!! Seriously, congratulations to you and Mr. Big Poppa! I know this is going to be a huge change for you since your baby boy is not so much a baby any more, but I'm sure you and Lonzo will enjoy the ride! My hubby and my son are over joyed and my 27 y.o.daughter and her husband can't stop laughing long enough to share any meaningful feelings at all BUT Big Poppa will pay.... I just called his cell phone and asked him to bring me a sandwich from Subway and he asks if its good for the baby? I'm like who the frick cares, the kid doesn't get to vote yet,this is still MY BODY and may I remind you that unless you make me really really really happy each day for the next few months its a body that you will never see unclothed again. Babe, I just want some ham so bring me some ham and roast beef and cheese and pickles and lettuce and banana peppers and black olives with a ton of honey mustard on Italian bread please.
I'm not yet fully adjusted to the idea but I love making HIM happy and I'd do it all over again just for that reason alone. O.K. now I'm lying but Thanks Guys, we'll have a Big Ole Texan BaBy ShOwEr to match the Texan wedding you threw us, which BTW is what led to THIS so its all y'alls fault!

Thanks Bocas Girl...I posted again before I read this post so yep I'm thinking Baby Shower with a lot of Push Gifts for ME the baby won't need anything since he/ she/ them or whatever it is can use my grand-kids stuff right? My son Kacey will be 12 on Xmas Eve and my daughter Keri will be 28 soon. Mom says I'm the poster child for Planned Parenthood and I disagree, I have never planned a pregnancy EVER! My BFF Margie says "Well hell you and Alonzo are ready for ROCKING CHAIRS anyway so at least you will have a reason to rock".
I got my final confirmation from an OB-GYN at the hospital where I work after all 4 of our home test kits turned BLUE really fast but failed to convince me, but my actual appointment isn't until Sept.30th and I will see if his E.T.A. coincides with mine, HOWEVER since I know the Nurse who schedules the inductions where we work I figure I'll deliver this he/she/them whenever I get tired of Alonzo touching my tummy.
For the ladies who want this experience I want it for you Guys too. Ms. Cara, Thank You! Your words inspire and give me and my husband hope that it was truly meant to be and therefore will be alright. Just 18 months ago Alonzo was doing Chemo and wasn't sure he would ever make love to me again and the day he realized what that little stick thingy I left on his nightstand meant I jokingly said "So you think you are THE MAN now don't ya?" He looked me in the eye and said No Babe, all we did was make love...THE MAN ABOVE made our baby and he held me in his arms closed his eyes and he thanked God for this child. Can you say KEEPER!!

Uhmmm, hate to be the one to say it, BUT, my test turned really fast too. I was pregnant with twins! Just sayin. But congrats anyway!!!!

At first I asked myself WHY ME and not in a good way ya' know? Once I saw his reaction his excitement I thanked goodness that it was me. This past Sunday we were listening to a song on the car radio while he drove me to work about counting your blessings and he made the observation that he couldn't count all of his blessings or even the ones he's received since he was paroled. He said Babe, do you know that a year ago I was sleeping alone in my bunk across from some knuckle-heads who snored loud and farted often and I would pray that God would let me live long enough to tell you hello before Cancer made us say goodbye. He said the only thing that kept me from giving up was YOU... my chest became your picture frame and that picture was my lifeline and I begged God for one night, Just One, not to sex you just to hold you and now I've kicked Cancers butt, I made parole, I have a beautiful home, a beautiful wife, my chest has been your pillow for over 9 months now, me and K.C. are best buddies for life, and you are having my child...my life is wonderful and no way can I count all the blessings I have received.
He is so expressive and I love that about him. He tears down every single stereo type I have ever heard about felons, ex-cons, MWI's, MEN in general and BLACK MEN in particular. By no means is Alonzo perfect but please believe he is PERFECT FOR ME. I'm not posting to brag but I want everyone to have what we have...not a baby at my age, JOY just pure joy; he makes my heart sing; he IS my heart and he tells and shows me daily that I am his. Oh and JOES BABY.... please don't say that; Alonzo already has 2 girls... they are TWINS!

Well add me to the happy list! He's known for making twins.......hmmm. I remember your post about the new grandchild and you saying no more for me, famous last words come back to bite ya don't cha know. I saw a little 1 year old doing that cute baby waddle in the grocery store last night and couldn't help but think to myself "aw I want one" and I know my hubby wants one since hes never had that blessing, but I have to adopt (I am a proud adoptive mother of 1 awnry teenager), so if you do end up with twins and want to push one off on someone, give me a call, hee hee. You're right men who have had the prison experience don't hold back their feelings and express happiness for their blessings better than any other man on earth, and that's probably the reason all us gals on here feel so blessed to have them, only we know that feeling, again, congrats can't wait to hear all the stories to come!

A few weeks ago I went into my room to sleep and some guy impregnated me and I went back inside today for a short nap and I wake up to read that I'm suppose to have TWINS... while wearing SOCK MONKEY/WEDDING -turned- MATERNITY DRESSES... Well heck Texans just shoot me now and get it over with fast PLEASE! For all of you who stopped by to wish Big Poppa happiness and offer congrats he thanks you all and he should since he has gotten all the happiness he'll be getting from me for a while. He takes things too far ya' know, give him an inch and he takes a mile; give him a little *nook-nook*...and he turns it into an 18 year commitment situation; who does that? My 4 y.o. grand daughter Chelsea and I have an understanding; she comes over twice a month and we eat out, get a mani and pedi in weird colors; she tells me how she loves me a lot more than she does her own parents, I tell her thats the way it should be she falls asleep in my backseat and I drop her off. Well Alonzo informed me a few minutes ago that I won't be able to drop this kid off anywhere! Its even worse, he asked if WE are going to breast feed? I'm like heck, I will if YOU will but otherwise NO! Seriously, how many STRIPPERS do you know who do that?

Yep, my PTO ladies will make sure of that Babe, we can just put big elastic waistbands on all my thongs and stripper clothes and the PTO guys can turn those 6-inch plastic heels into 6-inch wedges and I'll waddle my fat sexy azz in just for you.

Get rid of the (s) after baby Teddy...I am not laughing but Big Poppa is smiling at the thought...the man actually said "Babe I'd love to watch you give birth to twins both a boy and a girl." I told him how excited I'd be if I could watch HIS A$$ do this too; in fact the world would; CNN could send a camera crew to film the action and afterwards I could pass out cigars and put a banner over our door that reads: "This MWI man just had my TWIN babies and you guys said it wouldn't last..Ha!"


Glad you guys think this will be a fun-filled journey; lets see how you feel after 7 & 1/2 more months of my b/s... I just told my bff @ work she can tell my weekend E.R. Crew whats up; mainly b/c the smell of brewing coffee makes me... you do not want to know and I don't want to walk into report and *toss my cookies* all over the place at 6:45 a.m; its hard to motivate them to work the Triage Desk after I do, hell its hard to get the patients to sign in after that! Anyhoo she told them and since I work Fri-Sun I just know tomorrow will be a lot of fun. NOT!!! Also Alonzo has his 17y.o. twins this weekend and he plans to tell them and his Mom, too. My life is about to change dramatically.

Thanks Guys...I let Alonzo read all your comments and he asked me to thank everyone and invite you all to my L&D room @ Medical City Hospital the day I deliver. Teddy you bring the >> << grmnclt gurl you bring your grill and Brite you, Bens girl, #1and only and everyone else can bring veggies, ribs, links, party hats, bells and confetti and we can make it a party. Personally, I think you would have had more fun had we invited you all to the conception instead of the birth but its too late for that and there will be no *do-overs* EVER, just don't forget my >><<Please.
I also want to warn you all that I think I convinced him to join our PTO Family and create his own account while I'm working today. He has a truckload of knowledge to share and I feel he should. He can also gain insight into what its like to be US...the person left outside to deal with TDC and all of its b/s while keeping the home fires burning and the kids entertained so I think it will be a good fit for us both. He loves PTO but he is not fond of computers or electronics in general yet except for my sons WII system and his new flat screen in the Man Cave where he can DVR and watch sports 24 hours a day non-stop which he does. I told him to pick out a screen name and I will help him create an account Monday. You have been warned that coming soon to a computer near you is Alonzo B.-aka-Big Poppa.
