Aaawwww!!!! I LOVE IT!!! I may sound like a broken record, but thank you so much Marcia (and Alonzo) for sharing all your intimate details of this wonderful journey you're on.

Alonzo and this new love he found in his Baby Magic Sunshine Angel is the sweetest kind of love...I'm so happy that he's able to share in all those firsts with his Baby Girl and of course, I'm so glad he's sharing them all with you Marcia!! You both have been through so much and y'all deserve all this and so much more! GOD has been so good!

I hope you take advantage of your in-home babysitters and get some much needed rest especially now that Baby Daddy proved he is able to feed and change poopy diapers!!

WOW!!! Y'all are home already! That was super quick, but there's not place like home and I'm sure y'all are all glad to be there!

Oooh and the baton, at least the pregnancy one...I think I'll pass in it, thanks!! I'll gladly take of Baby Magic any day, but I'm not sure of a little Baby Magic of my own.

She opens her eyes more in the softer lightening of her room and they are hazel and almond shaped like his. She has bits and pieces of both of us; my Great Aunt Stella who is about 125 years old and knows everything says she will be a nice "caramel" color which is a lot lighter than my Oprah color but darker than his bi-racial cream color and also a match of Kacey's skin color. I know I'm confusing a lot of you but keep in mind I'm Afro-American, Alonzo is bi-racial so her color is a big mystery at this point. For all you God-Mommy's who commented on her lips you Guys will be the ones looking for make-up for her one day...NOW WHAT???
I'm gonna dress her up later this week and post some GOOD photo's of her and yep she has a massive amount of very soft very fine hair and after Mom washed it when we got home, its pointing/standing/looking in all directions and making me see ponytails in her future real soon....Marcia
LOL!!! She's beautiful and whatever color she ends up, she's gonna be gorgeous!!! Now Baby Daddy is really gonna hold true on his word and make sure she does not date until late into her 30s.

I can already see the only days old Ayleah Zaide with pony tails!! Okay Mommy...I see you're having so much fun already!!

He has NO PLANS TO GO BACK TO WORK EVER!!! He says no way can he leave her with strangers or even with our Moms before she's able to point and talk. I'm like Babe, those nice people at the nice hospital who helped us deliver our new bundle of joy and who fed us and allowed us to stay in the nice comfy private room and were there to answer every time we pushed the little button charge and expect to be paid for that stuff and unlike that other couple Beyonce and Jay-Z who delivered this weekend we don't have millions put away anywhere so chances are you should go back to work TODAY...in fact I should have gone to work and delivered her there on my lunch break and just continued to work b/c we owe EVERYBODY! If he stays home another two weeks y'alls updates will stop 'cause even Time Warner wants a payment soon. Maybe I should buy her a pink khaki uniform b/c she may be going to work with him. Being a parent is a great job but it pays NOTHING. Baby Daddy has really changed but not all changes are good ones. Oh, and the air mattress and crib will be out in the garage if he doesn't come to his senses soon. Marcia

A picture to enjoy!...315043_2515385651198_1449922776_32726685_1434623525_n.jpg Since Baby Daddy insisted on posting photos of her I think its only fair that I return the favor. He had a long busy weekend and a little while ago he went into her room and with the camera that has become his constant companion he snapped more pictures and then he fell asleep. He is actually at crib side on the floor even though she's in my bed with me... Priceless... Marcia

Yessss... and now that he has pictures of him and his Teddy Bear Lover all over the .www he has agreed to put the camera away and realize that even though Ayleah is a PRINCESS in his eyes to the rest of the world she's just a plain ordinary newborn and there is no need to snap a photo of every little yawn or eyebrow wrinkle she does. His twins just left and he hardly said two words to them the entire visit. I get that its all to him but lets be reasonable...she is merely the result of a passionate night that I don't remember and he forgot to wear protection. I love her but she's gonna be around us for years to come and there is no need to snap a zillion pictures this week, let's space things out before our friends start running when we approach and the Mod's here ban me. One of you God-Mommy's told him how to post pictures and I'm giving him the guilty party's p.m. and e-mail address! That will teach you.
Seriously Guys, he's a PROUD POPPA and I know in a week or so the newness will begin to fade, Beyonce's baby will take center stage and he will go back to work and come home, kiss me somewhere near my cheek, say "whats up Babe, how was your day" but not actually listen to my answer and reach for the remote control all before he asks about Ayleah...but until that moment occurs you Guys may want to put me on ignore...IJS
She slept about 4 hours this evening and never opened her eyes for any of her visitors at all BUT the minute they and her big brother Kacey left and its just me and Baby-Daddy here alone she woke up, screamed bloody murder while he OVER HEATED her bottle and while I'm waiting on it to cool by running cool water over it she gets even louder, gets all red in the face poops like its nobody's business, scratches her own nose and made her presence known. I'm like "Look Missy...this is still my house and you are still my child; I just had a baby about 44 hours ago and there is no rushing me, are we clear; you may be the Princess but I'M THE QUEEN and I run this show." Alonzo looked like I'd just run over his dog on purpose and clearly he did not find my attempt at humor funny at all; in fact he said "I'll take her Babe, she slept so long and she is really hungry, bless her widdle heart, next time Daddy will just warm her milk before she wakes up."
Then he took her into his man cave and fed and burped her...This is gonna be a life changing event for both of us. I invited KC to stay here tonight but he really wanted out and I don't blame him; in fact I wanted to join him and spend the week with his Dad and Other Mother too.
Seriously I'm grateful I have a man who is so loving and gentle with his newborn but I'm not used to him and I kinda miss my big bad boy ex-con husband right now. This Teddy Bear Lover is confusing to me. My Mom assured me he's still in there but his heart is simply overflowing with love and its a love he is not afraid to show.... I know she's right so if I were y'all I'd put me on PTO ignore for the next month or so....Marcia

Good Morning God-Mommy's and to the wonderful world of Life With Ayleah...I bet you Guys thought these insane updates would stop once she arrived but thats not happening so sit back, grab your morning brew and READ. You Guys all know its been a while since I did newborn duty except for the little time I spent with Chelsea and Chase, my grand kids;anyhoo we had no idea what to expect and Baby Daddy even after having spent months and money decorating her room is afraid to let her sleep in it alone...he said "Babe, she's just too small to sleep all by herself, what if she stops breathing or someone breaks in or there's a fire or something, we need her close to us for a week or month or year or so." I stood firm and held my ground; I know if she starts sleeping with us she will never sleep in her crib so I said look Baby Daddy, there is a pull out loveseat/bed in there and you are free to sleep there and ward off burglars or fight fires to your hearts content BUT she is not sleeping in here. I showered and made formula and about 11:30 I fell asleep, his Mom spent the night here in KC's room and I knew they had things under control. About midnight Alonzo decides he needs to run over to 24 hr. Walmart but didn't say why...he comes back 30 minutes later with an assembled bassinet that he made up and put in OUR room on his side of the bed. Looks like we have a new roomie but if its what it takes to make him feel safe and secure I'll roll with it. Six weeks from now when he gets "certain urges" and I'm given the green light to comply I'll remind him that we are not alone but maybe in 18 years she'll be old enough to sleep in her room and I can hook him up.
She actually sleeps pretty good considering; she slept about 3 hours and I dried her my M-I-L warmed the bottle, fed and burped her and she slept another 2 1/2 hours before Alonzo picked her up. I think he did that to make sure she was breathing and not on fire. I'm an "on demand" Mommy...she cries, I feed her, never mind what the clock says. I'm still having after-birth pains and those are killers so I'm taking Vicodin which is why his Mom stayed over. We plan on flying solo tonight and I feel he's more than ready and Marj is coming over now to spend the day with us and use my computer since hers is broken and I'm hoping he will get in bed and sleep this morning; he only slept about 3 hours total last night.
This little girl is changing our lives AND MY ROOM but all in all she's a keeper and she's looking a lot more like HIM....Marcia

Let him enjoy his lil buddle of joy cause we all know as soon as she turns 2 he gonna say let's put her back. Right now she is a joy to have around. When the real crying starts and he don't know what she wants that's going to drive him crazy.lol he will start yelling WHAT DOES SHE WANT. I DON'T KNOW WHAT SHE WANTS. Then you will have to come to the rescue.hahahahaha.

Love y'all!!! You already know Marcia, we will be tuning in for the next chapter of the wonderful world of Life With Ayleah!!

Tell Baby Daddy, when she sleeps y'all nap too or at least one of you or him in this case since he's decided to be on permanent watch of his little Baby Magic! Otherwise, he's going to be too tired to take any more pictures later on!

I'm glad you stood your ground on not letting her sleep with y'all cause you're right, it would be hard later to have her sleep in her crib, but gotta him a for the basinnet idea! I'm sure in six weeks, we'll be glad to roll her on out of your room into her, but then be surprised when the stop if he goes back and rolls her back in!

Miss Ayleah's arrival is a totally life changing I'm sure, but it's all worth it! Take care!!

I'm loving reading the updates, even though my boss would not agree with the idea. but she is on vacation!!! I like the bassinet idea and you may be able to wean him to a baby monitor before long. When mine was tiny, my husband had finished varnishing the cradle he and his dad made like 24 hours before she came home, so the first night, I panicked all night worrying the smell would give her a brain disease, so I got up and assembled the baby swing/cradle my mom had given us and she slept in that for a couple nights until the doc saw the big black puffy spots under my eyes and told me to put that child in her own crib across the hall and use a monitor.....he confirmed that she would survive and wouldn't grow up feeling neglected if we did that. So much for the daddy made cradle, oh well, he and his new wife used it for their offspring

Baby daddy sleeping on the teddy bear is priceless, I would say definitely one for the baby album, or maybe post it up at his work

We have a baby monitor God-Mommy...in fact we also have a built in intercom system in my house and we can push a button FROM OUR Room and hear every little whimper, snore or poot she or Kacey makes and still its not enough for him. My own Mom said she expected I would be the one hovering around unable to sleep and clearly that is not the case; two Vicodin and I sleep like a log, its HIM. He explains it by saying Babe she's just so tiny or she's a girl and if you'd had a boy things would be different...WTF do boys crawl faster than girls during fires and burglaries or what? I put her on a blue and beige "onesie" this morning and he freaked out and says Babe, she needs to wear pink things; she looks like a boy baby and I don't like it. I said its fine Big Poppa, she has on a lace thong Pamper, matching bra and stiletto booties so folks know she is a girl. He took her to her room and she came back in a pink onesie and his Mom put a tiny handmade bow in her hair. He called and told his Dad he'll be back to work next week; my F-I-L told him not to rush; I'll call him myself later ...I need Alonzo to go to work so I can PAY BILLS EAT AND develop a routine for Ayleah that will work for us all. The good part is I spoke with my Director of Nurses today and my weekend daytime position in the E.R. is still available to me. I'm staying home for the next 3 months anyway but its nice to know I won't have to leave her during the week and both our Moms, my sister Marla and my daughter are all available to keep her on w/e as well as Baby Daddy.
Life is good, so far she's a calm baby and she's keeping her formula down and pooping and peeing nonstop. I love that she cries when she poops...I don't like running my finger inside her diaper and pulling it out dirty and I've done that a LOT... We are getting to know each other; she smells milk inside my chest so she gets real excited when she's hungry and I pick her up. I had to pass her off to him since she acted like I was teasing her while I was warming her bottle and she was not happy. Its a journey and a blessing and I'm so happy I get to share it with You Guys....Marcia

Default Venting...

Thanks Miss Debbie and all you other God-Mommy's...today has been a very interesting and emotional day and I think Baby Daddy and I are both glad its coming to an end. Our little *Munchkin* is fine...I have had open house with lots of friends, relatives, co-workers, and church members stop by and its very very tiring for us and her. Its hard for me to make folks understand that she is a newborn without an immune system and I can't just let people continue to come in, pick her up, sneeze, kiss her cheeks and gush over her. We have Hand Sanitizer in every room but still...she's a helpless newborn and I'm 2 days postpartum dealing with conflicting emotions, after birth pains, painful lactation and night feedings and its really hard. I just got her and myself ready for bed and Alonzo is having a shower now. I made formula, folded her laundry and put her down in her bassinet beside her Daddy. We are alone at last and turning in early and my plan is to take Vicodin, share my inner most feelings with him and ask him to bring my happy back. Please pray my tomorrow is better...Marcia

You know my baby wouldn't be caught in something that wasn't pink, and when she was about 2 and picked her own outfits out.....she REFUSED to wear pink and I long for the filly days of making hair bows and pretty dresses with pantaloons, Enjoy it while you can.

Praying for y'all Marcia...hope y'all have a blessed and restful night (or as restful as possible with a new born baby in the house ) I hope tomorrow is a much better day and hopefully the visitors slow down...or stop! I know everyone wants to see Miss Baby Girl...but y'all need alone time too.

Hugs and for the three of you!

Congratulations!!!!!
Good-gravy! I go out of town, and away from my computer, for a few days (to TX to visit my hub) and I miss the big event! I am so out of the loop and need to catch up - So Very HAPPY for you, Alonzo and your whole family! And I have to say she picked a good day to join the world! The reason I was out driving all over South-east TX, from AZ, this past weekend was to visit my husband for our 4th Wedding Anniversary, which was Jan 8th I now look forward to your "re-new mommy" updates and all of the wonderful joys that your Precious Baby Girl brings to you all! I plan on using your posts as my "what to expect" when that day comes Congratulations again!!!!

Thank You and its all your fault for leaving town!!! I wondered where you were and I'm glad you are back. Congrats on your wedding anniversary, I'm happy for you both and thanks for sharing your special day with our Munchkin... One word of advice God-Mommy;do not use my adventure as a What to expect guide....its all unexpected and thats as it should be; thats the fun part! There was only one plan I devised and insisted on...the actual moment of her birth; I wanted her to be delivered by me and Alonzo and I discussed it fully with my Dr. who didn't disagree but didn't feel it would work and thank heavens it did. Marj filmed the moment, she and Keri knew the signal or *key word* to step back and get the camera was for Dr. Varghese to say "lets change positions" then let the head of my bed up so I could reach below but Baby Daddy had no idea what the plan was or what would happen next and to have him cradle my hands inside of his while the two of us caught her was PRICELESS and a true Marcia moment...and he watches the DVD constantly and cries every time. Dr Varghese actually called Alonzo over and stepped aside and said "When you are ready just push Marcia" words I'll never forget...Last night he asked Babe, why didn't you tell me we were going to pull her out? I would have been on board if I'd known... This from the man whose plan was to sit in the waiting room until she was out, clean, named and fully dressed. I know my husband and I knew how terrified he was during labor and I really wanted to make it special for him and I did. He tells anyone with ears he delivered Ayleah himself and he says it with pride. I can't wait until she's old enough to see the DVD and hear the story herself. My advice to you and anyone else who decides to travel this route is to make it your own; find a caring doctor who is willing to listen and do things your way; INSIST on it...they try to say "well its hospital policy" but the truth is you are the customer and you can write the script.

Thanks and you're right...we need to get down to the business of living, I know everyone is excited and wanting to see the newest member of the family but she'll be here for many years to come and I just want a little peace. Last night he had some "friends" come by and stay almost 3 hours then send out for pizza and just stay and stay and talk and talk. I'm like dang, I gave birth 2 days ago and sitting here listening to you guys discuss school days is no fun for me right now. These are his dudes and I don't want to seem anti social but I really need some rest. He and I talked and he now understands and says he will take control of the situation TODAY. Thanks again for your well wishes...Marcia

Thank you, I had a really good anniversary weekend visit! My hub and I were actually talking about when we have children and he said something to me that sounded very familiar - "I really don't think I will be able to handle watching you go through that kind of pain." I told him that we have time to prepare for that and that I know he can handle a lot more than he thinks he can . Thanks for all that you've shared with us! It's truly a special thing to feel a part of. I hope that things are calming down and starting to level out for you guys.

Well she has no skills or activities worth posting...all she does is eat, pee, cry and poop and sometimes MOST TIMES she does it all at once! She is looking more and more like Baby Daddy and he himself can see it now so he's happy and I just feel like a vessel. I want a DNA test...Seriously, we are good, the company is less frequent so we are feeling like a family and he is following my advice and realizing that Mommy knows best and when he returns to work Tuesday I'm not gonna be holding, rocking, singing to her constantly so he needs to stop doing it now. She sleeps in our room but not in our bed so its all about give and take. Marcia
