Howdy Texans...

I decided to stop by with some updates for all of y'all since as co-parents of this kid who seems to be growing by leaps and bounds inside of my StRiPpEr BoDy you have a right to be informed so here goes:

I woke up Wed. to get my 2 Poppa's up and out and while making breakfast I felt this very strange sensation in the lower part of my tummy...kinda like gas

but not gas, or hiccups deep on the inside and much to low...

I did my best to ignore it but it lingered in the back of my mind for hours. My Baby Daddy called about 1 p.m. to say he had to go visit his P.O. @ 2:00 and would be home afterwards with more of that long wonderful 12 inch thing I can't seem to get enough of these days...

Yep, you guessed it a Subway Sandwich! I'm talking Honey Ham, Roast Beef, American Cheese, Black Olives, Pickles, Black Olives, Banana Peppers, Black Olives, Honey Mustard, Black Olives, Onions, Black Olives, Lettuce, Black Olives and Black Olives all on Cheddar Bread with Black Olives....OMG and he even brought a 12-pk of Pepsi.

He came in and pulled me in his arms for a real kiss and tried to share his day with me and I said wait Babe,

don't ruin the moment with words; lets just savor the precious moments we have together alone...take that long juicy thing out and give it to me just the way I like it as only you can do.

He went in the kitchen and came back over to the bed with 2 plates, a canister of chips, 2 glasses of ice, a Pepsi for me and a Big Red for him and just as I put the long thing up to my lips once again I felt that weird movement and I guess the look on my face alerted him and caused him to say "Whats wrong Babe?" I paused

and said I think your baby is moving inside of me;

I felt this earlier and couldn't imagine what it was but yeah... I took his hand and said feel right here. He laid first his hands then his head on my stomach and together we both felt the hiccup/gas thing and our eyes met and he pulled me even closer and then I felt something wet on my tummy and realized my Big Poppa was >>>

Something I've never seen him do before. I think I love him

even more now, something I did not think was even possible.
He said Babe, I've never felt an unborn baby move before; thats my child in you and its alive and real; Babe, its real... we are having a REAL baby. I asked if he was sure he didn't want to know if its a boy or girl since Dr. Varghese is doing Amniocentesis next Friday and I will know within hours. He said Babe I just want to know that its healthy and that you will be healthy and happy too. I know this was not exactly the way you planned things to go and I just want to make sure you know how much I love and appreciate you for all you are doing for me and my child, thats all that matters. Yep, my mind is made up; I DO love him more now....

O.K. Guys, weekly update complete...carry on.

OMG I seriously have shivers ... that is so so sooo sweet ! I am printing your posts out for my guy to tell him this right here .. yep, that is how it shall be done !

Thank you for allowing me to share in the journey with you two. The emotions between you is as special as the unborn baby !

I'm so happy for you and Lonzo! That is one of the best feelings, huh? To feel that tiny life moving around inside of you! And it's so wonderful your Big Poppa is right there beside you sharing it and enjoying it! And thank you both for sharing it with us all! Hugs and blessings to y'all!!

Thanks God-Mothers and and thank you all for taking this journey with us; I don't think I could do it without you and for sure I wouldn't want to.

I was surprised to discover Big Poppa had NEVER felt a baby move before and he explained he just had a different kind of relationship with his ex Ms. Pam. He said he didn't discover the twins were his until the DNA results came back when they were about 6 months old so they did not do the doctor visits together, didn't feel baby movements, didn't even spend time together so all of this is new for him and he's like a kid in a candy store this time around.

He is Goggling and reading EVERYTHING related to pregnancy, labor, birth, and how long he has to wait after the push party before we can...you know

and he's suddenly become an expert on it all.
I certainly plan to find out who is living inside of me which made me ask how he expected to NOT know since everyone else also wants to know like yesterday?

He said No Babe, I didn't say I don't expect to be told, I just meant I'm not curious or ready to know at this point and I know that will change but right now I like wondering what it is and wondering if I'll be teaching my son to play catch

or teaching my daughter to hold her pinkie finger up at our tea party's.

We also discussed names and since both my kids have the same initials he wants this baby to have them also but thats not carved in stone and he DOES NOT want a *Jr.* b/c he hates his first name which is why he uses his middle name Alonzo instead. I think you guys nailed it when you called it a journey b/c it seems like thats just what its becoming. Ummm...maybe we should name the kid Olivia if its a girl and Oliver for a boy 'cause I love me some BLACK OLIVES for sure!

On a lighter note my grand-daughter Chelsea came by with my Mom today and announced in her 4 y.o. voice that her Mom told her I was having another baby in a few months. I confirmed the news and she asked if the baby was already in my tummy? I said yes and when she is ready I'll let her feel it move someday. She said thats ok Grammy, I don't want to hurt you and it may not want people feeling it move b/c when I was in my Mommy's tummy I hated for people to feel me move.

Then she asked if we will have any more babies?

I almost told her No, NOT NEVER EVER NEVER Ever not even if the Man Above tells me I should and I recalled what Boca's Girl told me recently and I smiled and said "Maybe." Have a GrEaT WeEkEnD Guys....

Aw shucks Gurl...your comments make us smile and I am looking forward to hearing all about your journey too!

The thing that seems so strange to me is I was so against having another child; I shut the idea down every time Big Poppa brought it up both before and after he came home AND I started taking "The Pill" 2 months before he got out knowing he would not use "PrOtEcTiOn" no matter how much I begged, threatened or promised.

Oh he would agree to use 'em

but actually DOING IT is a no-no.

Big Poppa use to be BIG PLAYA before TDC so condoms were a part of his wardrobe and daily attire and he's dreamed of the day he no longer had to so I knew better than to count on that method.

The first couple of pills my Dr. prescribed simply didn't work; the side effects were terrible with the break-thru spotting and awful cramps and at one point I was being given a new brand every month. I was also scared of developing blood clots and at the time this "little situation" developed I was coming off one kind waiting to start another one and unable to resist my husbands charms and those big hazel puppy-dog eyes of his. I'm saying it wasn't planned but bound to happen.

Its weird when virtual strangers like neighbors I see but don't actually "know" or the lady in his Moms sewing group just point blank ask "So was this baby planned...I mean at your age and with him just getting out and all this has to be an accident right?" WTF

...its like they expect me to say "Yep, one night he came home and said Babe, I've got a terrific idea;

you just raise up your nightgown and hold still!"

I didn't join the Navy, I got pregnant by my husband, whats the big deal?

I loved it when he said "Miss Lady, I've been planning this baby from the moment I laid eyes on her and even before that when I was about 12, I use to ask God to help me find happiness and give me the family of my dreams whether it was thru a woman with kids from another man, thru adoption, if He blessed us with one together IN OUR OLD AGE or if the stork dropped one on my doorstep or the hood of my truck I didn't care, I just wanted a woman and a family I could dedicate my life to taking care of and making happy. This was told to the receptionist at my OB-Gyn's office!

I'm grateful y'all are also so understanding and accepting and that you guys are all WILLING TO BABYSIT AND CHANGE *POOP-Y* DIAPERS FOR FREE. Can't say I'll return the favor but if you ever bring your kids to the ER I'll put your name at the top of the Triage List....

and cut your waiting time in half; just mention PTO!...OK I have to get back to work now two dudes just came in together on the bus saying they "need" Morphine and Dulaudid for intense chest pain, suspected heart attacks that they BOTH have had for MONTHS but they refuse to let us exam them or draw blood; just want pain meds. Its Saturday @ Parkland you know....SECURITY!!!

me Texans. OK I know I'm a Nurse and this isn't my first rodeo or pregnancy but I need some TeXaS size help ASAP; like yesterday. I'm a little over 4 1/2 months along, the baby is healthy, good heart rate and we've even felt movements since Wed. so everything seems to be coming along fine BUT the morning sickness is killing me! First of all its rarely "morning" sickness at all; its usually between 7:30 and 8:30 PM every night.

It doesn't matter what I have or have not eaten, what I'm doing or even if I'm sleeping, I wake up and I'm sick and at this point I'm sick of it!
Does anyone have any good old home remedies to fix this problem? I told my doctor and he smiled and just said "It will pass Little Mommy." Well I'm not his Little Mommy, this is not fun or funny, his payment will be late

and I want this to go away now. I get that I can't take a lot of meds b/c of the baby and all but surely if we have GPS systems that tell me where I should turn, a test that tells us whether it's a boy or girl and if it has the proper number of *X* chromosomes then there must be something I can eat, drink, shoot up or snort to take this awful feeling and tossing of the cookies away.

Someone please help me...

Sorry Marcia you're getting sick like that - I know it's part of being pregnant for some ladies, but I also know it's no fun at all. I didn't get much morning sickness, but my sis-in-law did - a lot, every time we turned around she was

Anyway, ginger everything finally helped her - ginger ale, ginger cookies, ginger candy! You've probably tried eating crackers - oooh and this was weird, but my friend wore one of those anti-nausea bracelets and it helped her a lot she says (it's some sort of accupressure thing.) Hopefully one of these things will work for you and like Myguysin said, prayer...lots of prayer for you as you go through these days!

And aaawwww...thanks for the "Godmother" title - I'll do all I can to help, except the *POOP-Y* DIAPERS - not my thing at all! Sorry!!!

OK Ladies; thanks for the advice, one of the ladies in the Housekeeping Dept. mentioned the Ginger trick and even had some Ginger hard candy melting in the console of her car, she uses it for car sickness and after we removed the fuzz

and plastic off it tasted pretty good in a weird kind of way and they let me leave at 5:45p.m. so I'm praying it works.

My M-I-L cooked today and invited Baby Daddy over (KC is with his Dad & Other Mother until Thursday) and she sent me a plate; I have baked chicken, greens, mac-n-cheese, candid yams and corn bread muffins and it looks soooo wonderful and I want to eat it soooo bad and I'm just praying and praying the Ginger works! Oh and German Chocolate Cake too.

She makes this triple layer cake from scratch that just melts in your mouth

and I want to eat it all soooo bad. We will see Guys....

Loved this thread and I am new to the baby waiting group but I have a suggestion on the sickness. Flat dr. Pepper! Shake the bottle to make it flat then drink! My understanding is that dr pepper syrup is given to chemotherapy patients to settle their stomachs and with my son I was one sick mamma and it worked for me. Good luck, God Bless and I may want in on this God mother thing even with the poopy diapers! Lol

Marcia~ There are a few brands of Tea that make good blends of tea that might help - I know that Traditional Medicinals, Triple Leaf, Good Earth, Tazo, Stash, Alvita and Yogi all have a ginger or ginger-peppermint teas that can help with nausea. There is also 'Earth Mama Angel Baby. com' then click on Pregnancy and it has a bunch of stuff (including specially formulated teas). I hope that one or some of these help your tummy get good and on board with the program

Thanks Ladies...my Mom also suggested Dr. Pepper and perhaps b/c my tummy heard me seeking helpful hints and knew I'm really sick of this madness it did settle down and allow me to not only eat but RETAIN my M-I-L's dinner last night and I woke up early feeling great!

Grmnclt Gurl...I feel like such a trader for reading anything called Earth Mother; Angel Mother; Pregnant and Proud or anything else that suggest I'm happy about this situation b/c I'm not.

Baby Daddy just woke up and informed me he's taking his BIRTHDAY holiday and not working today; I smiled

thinking we can get to that Honey Do list of his;

we rarely have a day off together so this will be wonderful, right? Well he informs me that he went ON LINE and found some Ranger tickets for $20.00 so he got two and he and MY BROTHER are going to the game! As I laid there trying to process this b/s I realized: #1 His B-day isn't even until Feb. #2 he is not computer literate BUT he went ON LINE and not only found tickets BUT used PAYPAL and MY VISA to pay for them and he did all these things BEFORE I woke up. THEN: #3 He got that goofy

look on his face again and said "Babe, I just love you...lay back and let me hold you in my arms...WAIT what time is it, I have to e-mail the guy back to see if my payment went thru for the tickets; be right back!"

He left the room so I locked the bedroom door; if he comes close to me I swear he will be a crime victim this day.

Why can't I muster up a good dose of MORNING SICKNESS

when I need to...like NOW??? My life sucks...

Oh and Shae.. Because you volunteered to change Poop-y diapers and the other Godmothers were trying to avoid this most important duty of *Godmotherhood* I'm crowning you Queen Godmother; that will show 'em to take things lightly!

I'm more of a princess anyways. Just remember come February on his actual b-day, all you have to do is remind him of the Rangers tickets/game and hand him a paint brush and tool set and put him to work (maybe painting baby's room?)

Yeah PRINCESS but one day in the future when he/she is rich and famous and picking up the Oscar and appearing on Dancing with The Stars and picking up Lotto winnings and thanking his/her Godmothers you won't be able to say I used to change his/her poop-y diapers and he/she will charge you for autographs and pictures and THEN you'll be sorry Madame Princess!...

I talked to my son KC on the phone today; his "folks" took him to the State Fair and he called afterwards...out of the blue he asks "So Mom, since you are so old now how old will you be when the new baby has grand-kids?" I said DEAD son; I'll be dead and they will be your problems.

He keeps reminding me that I'm old but he also says "But you look good for an old chick"

so I can't stay mad too long; he gets that from Baby Daddy. Speaking of which, he called from the stadium but I pretended he was breaking up and I quickly hung up...he then sent me a text saying Babe, don't cook, REST ONLY, I'll bring you another Sub tonight; do you want anything else? Just text me your wish list...oh, I got KC a Rangers jersey and I got one in size 3 months for the baby.

He knows how to make this frown turn upside down.

Still he's gonna pay for leaving me alone today; he will be putting a crib together WITHOUT instructions!

OK God-Mommies...today is the day; in about 2 1/2 hours I'll know if we will be buying blue stuff or pink stuff.

I have to be at Baylor Hospital in just over an hour for the Amniocentesis. I want to check and make sure everything is coming along as it should be and an added bonus is that we will know the sex. As of 7:00 this morning Baby Daddy still says he doesn't want to know yet but he has no idea how to avoid this since I WILL KNOW, both our Moms insist on knowing, his sister works there and I'm telling all you guys.
I'm wearing a yellow jogging suit just to be safe and not create any influence but lets be clear..I WANT A BOY

b/c HE wants one. He denies it but continuously talks about his SON...and KC talks about his brother. I'm just asking y'all to pray that my baby is healthy and that one day in Feb. 2012 it will just ease on out without pain or pressure!

Don't worry when the comes your will come true the baby will wall out and will already be potty train and will have a job.I have a friend that always says kids she be born at 18. Maybe that could happen. I hope so cause I sure don't want to change poopie diapers. Oh and I to enjoy your post. It helps me to read all your posts.I have been reading you posts since I join PTO. It helps me look forward for when my son comes home.for the person who said you are bragging tell them to mind there own business. We love hearing from you and you have every reason to brag. Alonzo's Baby Girl is healthy and expected to arrive on Feb.12th and he does know its a girl since he could not leave the room when the Dr. told me despite swearing he didn't want to know and he's overjoyed!

Your graphics are sooooo cute and I love it! I knew Beyonce was expecting also but I had no idea when. I actually guess-ti-mated I'd be ready to let go of my little *package* later, like March 7TH but my doctor and the specialist I saw today both say NO...Feb. 12th. I asked what time and neither answered.

...Dr. Lofton the specialist said what do you guys think it is and both of us said "GIRL" at the same time and Dr. V said "girl it is."

On the drive home I asked if he was disappointed and he said "Thats my baby, I just wanted the two of you to be healthy, nothing else matters. Later he said I'm actually glad its a girl b/c I don't want KC to feel slighted by all the attention the new baby will get. This way HE will still be my buddy and my son...my only son and that's great, we'll take care of you girls." So far he's told our parents, my daughter and his twins and all of his co-workers and everyone is happy. The baby has not stopped moving since we got home, I'm on 24 hour bedrest b/c of the amnio so I'm not working tomorrow and he's going to treat me like a Queen all day and in fact he painted my toes PINK about an hour ago.

I love *bed-rest* and I love what Miss Debbie said about the baby coming here really easy, already potty trained AND with a job!

Oh and my Mommy is making our dinner and its pot roast, mashed potatoes w/gravy, brussel sprouts,

rolls w/butter and lemon chess pie HOMEMADE LEMON CHESS PIE.
