Default Parole officer?? Why so soon?????

My LO signed a plea deal in August of this year for 5 years, but the attorney contacted his mother and informed her that the parole officer will be coming by to check out her home...Do they normally come this soon?? He hasn't even went to court yet. I'm confused!!

Usually you have to hassle them for weeks after he gets parole to get them to come check the house so yeah, it's not normal, but if her house is kosher then it will make his release quicker once he is granted parole.

What all do they check for when they come to your house? What all do they look thru and what questions do they ask? And do u have to put them on your lease?

They don't have to be on the lease unless you are trying to not have to deal with an anti-cohabitation law.

Here in MS, they check to make sure that there is no alcohol or drug use in the house as well as a lack of firearms in the home. It will probably be different in other states. I'd call his POs office and ask.
